How does this new version work? I'm stuck buying it, but paying almost $300 makes me think about it.

I love it, after going to 35s it’s been great to monitor speed and trans/oil temp. It’s worth it. If you get it super glue a sosche magnet plate because mine melted off and fell last summer so I had to improve it otherwise great

I don’t, the sosche mount has 3M tape and to stick to the top of the vent flat surface then a small ball riser and a magnet. I used the sosche heavy duty magnet plate on the back of the scan gauge and super glued it so the heat in the summer wouldn’t melt it off

IMG_0767.jpg Drew this up in Fusion 360 and 3d printed it. Sanded and painted as well. The overhead console requires some modification but it’s not bad.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Above dash driver side. Just used the suction cup it came with and ran the cord up the door seal. Works fine.

As I posted above, I mounted mine under the dash above the phone charging pad with the locking EZ pass tape.

X2 must have if your running 35's or bigger. I have mine mounted in the same place.

Monitor, trans temp, coolant temp, oil temp, voltage if your pulling high amps with equipment, etc you can set it to give you accurate speed reading.

Exactly how I did mine. Thought it was bootleg at first but have gotten several compliments. I love it.
