Started noticing vertical lines on my driver side window. They're not always as visible, but I really noticed the lines today. Tied taking pictures but it didnt really show up. This is a photo from a reddit post, same thing.

To be clear its the window itself, not dirt/streaks etc.

Anyone else have this? Anyone point it out to a dealership, and whatd they say?

If you are wearing polarized sun glasses it’s polarization that you are seeing take your sunglasses off and it will go away.

The polarization spots in the glass when combined with the polarized filter of your lenses essentially cancel out the light that is coming through and creates the effect of “dark stripes“

This is an excellent point, and I did think of that. Depending on conditions they can be way more pronounced when wearing sunglasses. They are still visible without sunglasses in certain conditions, or if your just really looking for them. I do believe its the sun film in the glass, thing is its only the driver window that sticks out/ is different.

Is it a visibility issue inside the truck?

    Gotcha.

Gonna try to think of why it would be one!

Idk man, its just shitty. But Im assuming thats the criteria and the dealership will tell me to walk?

I think there's a new crash safety requirement for cars to use laminated glass for the front side windows. Roll down the window and see if the edge looks like two pieces of glass glued together, or one solid piece.

Edit: my 2019 SR has normal (not laminated) glass. I didn't see any lines, but I haven't looked with sunglasses yet.

The bevel is almost frosted, but I do believe its a uv sheet pressed in between the glass. When Im in a well lit place at night I can sometimes see it reflecting light kinda like a disco ball lol. Have to be at the right angle (looking from near front wheel well mirror area). Its kind of like if you had several strips of mirror and pushed them together but they werent all flush/level with each other.

Is it possible the window has been replaced with aftermarket glass? This might explain why the one window is different. Check the window labels.

Glass is the same. Both say Pilkington. I know pilkington makes glass for various companies, though I am surprised they'd actually be marked TOYOTA Pilkington instead of just toyota. They have the same designations/codes, but they dont have the vin on them.
