I picked up a nail today. Tire shop told me it didn't push through and didn't need a patch. :yay:

Yeah so I called Alpharex and emailed them proof of them being really dim during the day, at first they said that’s just how dim they are since they’re smoked and recommended I call Tacomabeast to see if they’d be willing to exchange them. Once I told them I have the clear lensed Luxx series, and after talking to them both and both of them talking to each other Alpharex realized they were defected and Tacomabeast are gonna send me another pair. So it’ll probably be a week or so until I receive the new ones

That's interesting! I wonder how common it is for defects. Thanks for the update, and glad you're getting it sorted.

yeah I wonder too and also wonder how long they stay in a warehouse. However I remember seeing on here people bagging on Tacoma Beast for having shitty customer service so I was skeptical but thankfully they’ve actually been working with me and haven’t gave any issues. I’ll update again whenever I receive them.

Least intrusion possible (I did make holes for the stiffeners and hood struts though), Potential to return to factory form. Same concept I have for wiring, absolutely no tapping into factory wires.

I've seen that also. They replaced some defected Taco Clout mirrors I bought, so issues for me. Sounds good, looking forward to it

Don't take this the wrong way but their headlights are... very poor quality. They look fancy. I almost bought them myself when I was in the market for headlights. But after doing all the research and reading reviews from @crashnburn80 there's not a snowballs chance in hell I'd recommend anyone buy those headlights, let alone put them on my own vehicle.

Oem or morimotos for full headlight assembly upgrades. Favorability toward OEM for quality and light output. I went morimotos myself and never looked back. But if/when something ever goes wrong with me, you bet your bottom dollar I'll be getting OEM LEDs. Still have my v1 legacy sr5 conversion harness sealed in a box for when that day comes lol

His OP was about their taillights being dim during the day, but yeah I agree I'll be sticking to the OEM LED headlights. Eventually I'll do the black mod to get rid of that nasty chrome

Yeah headlights I’m not sure about. I went with Attica 4x4 Rouge series for headlights and have been loving the look and output of them

What size wheels/tires are you running? It doesn't look like it should rub much at all.

    scrap day today.

mostly a grille and exercise bike, with some other lightweight crap piled on top.. turned into $60, which was enough to pay topping off the tank from last weeks usage. so all-in-all, i didn't technically pay for gas for an entire week this time around.

i don't know how the 5' bed guys do it. there's plenty of times i'm wishing for an 8' bed!

Read the first post in this, but have a big bucket of popcorn ready. The consensus is basically "OEM LED" or "H9 upgrade to H11 halogen". But anything else tends to be a losing venture.

I bought my 2022 in January. Dealer serviced it, according to the records, before it was put on the lot. I don’t know what kind of oil that they put in it, but probably the cheapest that they could. Today I did my first oil change. I did it with the help of a video. All other vehicles I had used spin on oil filters. Now I’ve done this style. I got the tool for taking the filter canister off, some oem filters, and some full synthetic oil. I was surprised when I pulled the oil plug and the oil flowed so quickly that it hit the oil drain pan splattered and sprayed all around the pan until I got the oil flow lined up with the drain hole in the pan. Lesson learned the hard way. As quick as the oil flowed meant that it didn’t take long for the oil to drain. Then moved on to the filter. That was a learning experience too since I’ve never done that style before. The hardest part was breaking the canister loose. The dealer had to have over tightened it. I had to get a breaker bar out to break it loose. I torqued everything to spec when tightening it back up again. I got a new engine air filter and went to replace it. The thing still looks brand new, so I left it in place and saved the new one for later. I also got a new cabin air filter. The old had just a little dirt and debris on it so I knocked it off and reinstalled it, also saving the new one for later. I was surprised at how much oil this thing takes. It takes as much as the V-8 in my POS ram pickup. It was much easier to do the oil change on it than my ram. Now that I’ve done it once I’ll be set for next time. Of course when it was time for the maintenance it not only notified me on the dash, but also notified the dealership. They in-turn called me wanting to set up a time for me to come in for service. I work longer days than they do, so I would have to take the day off so I could pay them to do it. I can’t just drop it off on my way to work since I work out of it. I also don’t trust the dealership to do the work. I’ve been looking to see how I can stop my taco from telling them I need service. If anyone can tell me it would be greatly appreciated.
