Hello guys, I recently bought a Tacoma 2001 double cabin. I been looking into getting a camper shell. I'm in the look out for them on all the sale apps but I realize you just need some patience when it comes to that. I think i would like to go for an aluminum shell but that seems even more rare and little information out there. So just wondering what should i look out for and what brands or dimension out there for the double cabin Tacoma. I've seen a couple on pictures but cant seem to find any information on them thank you. Located in SoCal

thanks. According to this and a bit of searching on the web, basically nothing will fit. Will just have to keep a look out or eventually buy a regular camper shell.

I wanted to see if someone had a lead, I want one because I think they look cool :):jpow:. I will probably end up going with a different camper when i find one. Seems like its harder to find something for a double cab. I want to use it for camping and be able to take it off and on easier.

Unless your 5 feet tall or shorter youre not gonna be a happy camper. Is your vehicle a 4x4

Believe you misread the chart. Outside box measurement should be 63 1/4”x 60 3/8” for a 1st gen ‘01 double cab.. A regular cab cover will be too long at 76 1/2”x 60 1/4”. I saw a good many 1st gen double cab camper covers here in the southeast when I was searching for a cover.

yes sorry, i meant a fiber camper shell rather than an aluminum one. Here in Socal is hard to find something in decent shape. Keeping a eye out, Ill see what i end up getting.
