You can see right past it the road is washing out. That might help, but the steeper the grade the shorter the intervals will need to be. In a heavy rain runoff will go right over that.

I know but we only had 2" of rain and this hasn't been touched in quit awhile. And there is 2 more up hill. About 100' apart as suggested. Good thing this is not my responsibility. And as you see below it's not washed too bad.

Yes I can see how it works. It forces the water up an over it. Just saying the steeper the grade the more often they will have to be installed.

that geo- filter grate stuff ive seen in rolls. it was used in gravel paths on a slope and allows drainage and gravel to stay put. i think its slick. get a driveway just high enough and cover that with a layer of gravel. id think it would be the best one can do.

How do they work with just regular grass mowing? I know they work good with leaves.

My neighbor gave me his mulching guard for a 42" JD. Installs inside the front of the deck. (like this)Screenshot_20240512_065823_Amazon Shopping.jpg
Night and Day difference over the regular mulching cover.
    Leaves hardly anything behind!

They work fine on regular grass, but they do require a mower with HP to spare. They take more power to do the extra chopping.

They do great with regular grass, even grass about 6 inches tall just requires one pass, slower speed using walk behind in this case. Large amounts of leaves like magnolia leaves do take two passes to cut up small enough.
I have the G3 on my self propelled and G5 on my zero turn.

    On the blade topic.
I like using the 3-in-1 blades.
They do pretty good all around when kept sharp.

can you sharpen blades with an angle grinder? im not really picky about how well it cuts but i figure a vast improvement over unsharpened 3 yr old stock units. its a pos walk behind.

With the curve in the 3-in-1, it's actually easier using the angle than the bench grinder.
