My driver's side window switch stopped working. All of the other windows and their individual power switches still work. I replaced fuse 16 and that fixed the issue... temporarily. The fuse for the front power window control keeps blowing, but only when I am rolling the driver's side window up and down.

I have used various fuses to test this. I opened the door panel and used WD-40 on every joint of the window regulator, and still no luck. I notice that the fuse always blows when the driver's side window regulator is horizontal (when the window is about halfway up). I'm wondering what my next steps should be. Replace the window regulator? Replace the power window switch mechanism? Thanks guys.

Sounds like the window motor is drawing too much current so either something is binding or the motor is bad.

Have to pull it apart and see if something is binding up, if it's not then you probably need a new window motor.

How would I know if the window is binding? I was rolling the window up and down with the door panel off, and I didn't see anything unusual.

Usually you can tell by how it sounds if it's struggling to move the window or not.

The "sound" will sounds like the window motor sounds right at the point the window closes fully.
You'll only hear it for a brief second before the "circuit breaker" stops it at the end of the travel "up/down".

@Dm93 can explain how it works better. But my point is, if you want to know what it will sound like.
Roll one of the other windows down then up, and listen to the motor right before it turns off. (when the window is reaches fully up position)

Best i can describe it is like...... weeeeeeeeeeee-uhh. The Uhh, is the part is the bind.

Thank you for this explanation. And what is binding exactly? If I find out the window is binding, do I replace the window motor/regulator?

    Binding means, "getting stuck".
I seriously doubt the window glass is binding, As you likely would have noticed it getting slower over time in a particular spot.
And to have the window bind (get stuck) all at once usually means something broke.

    Based of the statement below.
If I were a betting man, I'd bet it is a motor (regulator) issue.
