Well I had an eventful weekend. I rolled over 30k miles on the drive home and then decided to finally be brave enough to install my body armor front bumper. I also installed some raptor lights that I got for free, and blacked out my side and rear badges since for some reason they were chrome when everything else on the white truck is blacked out. Oh almost forgot, installed some seat jackers, they do make a difference surprisingly.Bumper_Raptors.jpg

Halogen assemblies are optimized to focus halogen light. Aftermarket LED bulbs do not have omni-directional output but instead project to side-only much of the time and that light cannot be properly focused.

Read the provided threads, especially the one at the top of the "#rg Gen" page in "sticky threads".

Joking about the drivers who were on the short end of the stick when you ran the LED-bulbs-in-halogen-assembly is not a good thing.

Brown Recluse spider bites also have nasty affects. You may not even feel the bite, and then would can become "expanding, flesh-killing". Brown Recluse also causes allergic to red meat.

The difference is that they aren't putting extra bright bulbs that aren't designed for their housings. Projectors and LEDs don't mix, the light doesn't focus right.

It doesn't matter now that you've replaced your headlights.

A former co-worker's dad got bit by a brown recluse while at their cabin. Didn't think anything about it at first, the next morning he felt really bad. They decided to pack up and head home to see his regular Dr. He died the next morning. Nasty bastards!

some of the oem leds are bright but are aimed at the road, but if the car has too much weight in the back or going up a hill they will shoot too high, and if you have a low riding car you will catch more light in your eyes

This is going to be a potential solution to my own truck camping with a short bed 2025.

I need to build a platform extension, and possibly a new platform, for the weekends when my tools are pulled from my truck.

If you can post the design sheets, even rough-drawn, others can make their own copy.

Sure, they want to/need to make a profit, and a better spread helps them make more. But I think it's less nefarious than that.

Any dealer/broker makes money on transactions. If people are buying and selling, and they are pairing the buyer and seller, they make money. If people aren't buying/selling, they are out of work. It's why Realtors, stock brokers, and car dealers always say it's a good time to buy or sell. They just want to keep things moving so they can keep earning. I must frustrate them given that I tend to drive our cars to 200k miles + and have lived in the same house for 29 years.

I washed my truck and vacuumed the interior. It is more of a road princess at the moment.

That would be too much weight. When I put the topper on I pulled out my packrat tool box to eliminate some weight that tool box weighs 330 lbs empty and it wasn’t empty.

I wish I had a 6’ bed, but I manage to utilize my 5’ bed pretty well.
