Her idle is slow, her sprocket bolts are missing or loose, and her fork seals are leaky... but she's a spicy little number and I'll work with her flaws!

Riding is a full time job, and you need to pay attention. I think that's why I enjoy it so much. endorphins!

Snohomish is strange, it's the busiest small town I've ever seen. I quite like it, but don't understand how busy it gets

Saw this guy yesterday and I know it can be done but I feel like I’d worry about anything beyond a dirt bike back there.

Slip Grip mount on a RAM extension. Previously used a RAM X-Grip, had my phone fall out of that once and decided that was enough.

    hey all question?

rotor bolts. has anyone just got some from a hardware store before? or just go oem? i was having a fun time trying to find a full kit for both front and rear rotors but i cant seem to find any with the right amount of bolts... minus oem but they are pricey at dealers. some places online are not bad like revzilla i think it was? but was wondering about just grabbing bolts from a hardware store if it would work and be fine?

I have reused rotor bolts already with no ill effect. That being said I don't think there is anything particularly special about them. Grade 8 and use loctite on them. I have a set of taps and dies so I always chase all threads before installing and make sure to torque evenly. Partshark.com is a good resource for OEM parts. Pro Bolt is another good source for unusual or obscure fasteners.

ya ive reused them with no issues since im running the s model rotors on my sm wheels and just used the bolts from it. reason im asking is im finally getting both sets of dirt and street wheels setup so its easy to swap in and out for once lol. (even thou i decided i want a full set of dirt plastics so its still not going to be quick...) tbh thats what i was thinking find a set of grade 8 bolts and use loctite and it would be fine.. the only one id have to steal from each setup is the magnet for my aftermarket dash for the speedo. ill check out those websites and see if they have them any cheaper! the oem bolts for my bike are 2.45 for one... and with tax thats about 3.15ish for one and i need 12... so its like 30 something bucks..

Fresh tune up for summer. Made a ~20 mile loop and stopped at the "out in the country" farm for some singletrack.

She's old, slow, and heavy but this may just be my favorite vehicle ever.

I tell non-riders that I pretend everyone else on the road is actively trying to kill me. It's stressful but the only way to survive nowadays.

Also why I limit my riding to the backroads or private property

I don't put my phone on my handlebars anymore. Ruined two cameras, not worth the risk again to me. What are y'all using your phone for you need it to be visible? I get navigation instructions audibly through my cardo and vibration on my watch/wrist. If someone texts me, it can wait until I stop or am able to check my watch and see it there. Really the only time I actually want to look at it constantly anymore is off-road maps where navigation blows and the difference between two very different road turn-offs can be 20ft apart.
