Well, my backup camera died; I have no idea what happened, because it literally worked when I backed into the driveway at @Stitchgirl90's house, and when I backed into the driveway at @Gwyns04's house minutes later (they live on the same street) it did not work. The wiring seems to be intact, but I already had this camera patched up last fall following an accident with a glasstop stove at the scrapyard. I don't want to put anymore money into it and will just buy a new one...

 

Sounds like it gave up the ghost, time for a new one.

 

I'd guess it committed seppuku

Here's another good one; I left 2-month old $80 handtruck at the scrapyard by mistake, and by the grace of God it wasn't crushed. I got it back today!

 

I found one a few years back, a little welding and painting and it turned out good, glad you were able to get yours back!!!

 

Got a bit of a stern lecture from the people at the scrapyard, since they had basically paid me for the handtruck at scrap, but I got it back. I have officially forgiven the scrapyard for doing three grand in damage to my truck more than two years ago...

 

At least they let you take it back.

 

Yeah, not that worst thing that's ever happened there, considering the aforementioned "runaway pipe" incident...

@Stitchgirl90 thought that the '92 Whirlpool blew colder than the 2015 GE that our friend Helen gave her (the Whirlpool was running in thread pictures, and it was very warm that day). The GE uses R410a and and the Whirlpool used R22, so that probably had a lot to do with it...

This is definitely a true story in PA; I've only been pulled over for "swerving" in PA once, in nearly 13 years of having a license; I seriously think that in New Jersey, state troopers are just dickheads...

My step grandma, my aunt, and my aunt's husband all live in Jersey as do a few of their friends. They're all pretty awesome. Once they move away, the only reason I will ever drive into Jersey is if @Stitchgirl90 and I go down the shore for vacation!

 

Less than a thousand miles to go!
