    Now I'm even more confused.

Called King. They said the PR2508-COHR coilover is going to be a 2.5x8" coilover that's the same as what's used elsewhere. Top hat and rod end may differ, as well as the rod end.

Not quite the "drill through the original mount" style, but yeah even page 1 has a metal top hat.

Not that I know off. The only thing I know they specced was a to add a internal spacer to make sure only 8" of travel. with a total length

Front suspension: Work in progress JD Fab +4 LT, LCA pivot kit, steering slide rack, 934CVs Rear suspension: Archive Garage shock relocation and SUA Conversion,King 14x2.5 shocks, King 2x2 hydro bumps, FN wheels 5 stars, sliders
The two shocks have nearly the same dimensions. I suggest you get the longer rod end and shorter spring plate and go from there. Possible you might have to do some sort of custom top hat mount. But the shocks are identical as far as compressed and extended measurements. I don’t know what the difference in shock body lengths are, but it shouldn’t matter. Stroke is the same, kind of.

They added an internal spacer to limit extended stroke. 7.5” of shock shaft will show. Which I also suggest he has removed as the kit wasn’t built around it being used with the internal limit.

Called up JD with these pictures and measurements and Dave said he has some more arms at powdercoat right now, and will send a new pair, and sorry for the inconvenience.
Bummer about having to wait longer but that's some customer service!

I ordered the vise blocks to hold the shaft so I can swap rod ends myself.

I’ll install the shocks without the springs and see where I end up. Need to do this to set the bumps anyway. If it all works, then I’ll just go with it.

If not, at least I’ll know why/what I need to change.

I like that tool. Is that your IG?

If I end up bottoming out the shock before shoving the tire into the fender/headlight, I might end up doing that to give me an extra inch or so...

My top hat looks very similar to those.

    https://dirtking.com/collections/tacoma/products/coil-bucket-shock-mounts-dk-811932

Then I'm paranoid about bending the bucket, so I saw someone running these on top of the bucket, creating a sandwich between the shock top hat, the coil bucket, and the spacer.

Got to stretch the kit out this morning.. Beyond impressed..the truck is so much more stable feeling offroad and it just soaked everything up. Hats off to JD for a stellar product and customer support.

One of my outer cv boots tore last week, is there anything stopping me from buying an OEM cv boot kit for $38 and a 934 inner boot for $25 and changing out both boots on an axle?

trying to figure out why JD fab wants $275 w/shipping for their CV boot kit.

I was wondering the same thing. My driver inner especially is rubbing pretty good so its just a matter of time. But would be nice to have replacements for all on hand. All this stuff is always pricey but i was a little surprised at 250$. Probably shouldn’t be at this point lol

No idea what the reasoning is. But definitely very steep price. Kartek is the go to!

Only thing I could see being different is the grease compounds and clamps. But CV grease is CV grease :notsure:

Welp, ordered two OEM kits for $85 (ca tax), and gonna order a couple 934 boots and hopefully call it good for the front axles. I just hope the outer joint itself is still good. Could feel it grinding on turns. This is gonna be my first time rebuilding a CV.

I personally love redline CV2. Seems to be a very good grease for CV’s. Might be worth picking up a couple tubs to re grease
