I don't mean to be that guy, but almost all oil companies will recommend changing the oil at least once per year or if you hit the mileage threshold (whatever you decide you want your interval to be) whichever comes first. 2+ years on the same oil gives it a lot of time to degrade especially if you're only running short trips.

Slipped and scratched while loading the bed. Not worried about the scratch, but seems like a tiny part went down to the metal. Looking for another opinion if it should be repaired or will be fine to leave. Thanks

Finally got up the nerve to cut up the front bumper. I think it turned out pretty good. IMG_5611.jpg IMG_5612.jpg image.jpg I didn’t want the cut that followed the front trim in towards the centre and up. so I tapered away from the centre and followed the cut line up.

What would you say the level of effort was on a scale of 1-10? Any other mods you have done that you would compare the difficulty level to? Looks great to me, well done.

    Thanks.
The only thing hard was committing to it and my OCD making sure both sides matched. It’s mostly all just marking, measuring, and eyeballing. Once you get that far it’s holding your hands steady while cutting. Took me all of 2 hours to do. Not very hard to do at all. Can’t really compare it to anything. You can only make it at as hard or easy as you can with how perfect you want it to look.

I have a paint pen and it works ok for chips, but for scratches like that, the dr color chip works great at getting the color in the scratch itself and not on the surrounding paint so it's less visible. In my experience a paint pen will bring it to about a 6/10, dr color chip can get it to a 9/10. Its a little more expensive, but in my opinion worth it. I have them for my other car, and my previous car.

Looks great! How was the install? I assume there is bumper trimming involved?

There was. Not nearly as terrible or scary as it may seem, but yeah, a wizzer wheel on my Dremel was required.
Lots of aluminum and plastic removed when the new bumper was installed that's for sure!!

I bought a set of used fox 2.0 coilovers, and reached out to Fox to see about the rebuild process. I guess technically it's something I did for my 3rd gen, but I'm going to count it. Before the taco I hadn't changed out my DD in 8.5 years so its fun to have this little project.

Put some Rough Country seat covers on after work today.

Now I just have to figure out something to use to cover up their logo. No country for this truck, it's pure metal! ☠️
