I'm willing to bet you do, left hand side of the steering wheel you should see a button there.

in fact 3 over the axle, then you can also use for grit if needed.

If you have 4x4 using low range is the opposite of what you want to do. You already have too much torque. If possible, starting in high range 2nd gear reduces torque. You let the transmission slip instead of the tires. But I'm pretty sure these trucks will start in 1st and not shift above 2nd gear if you put the gear selector in 2. Some vehicles with automatics will start in 2nd gear.

With a manual you can start in 2nd gear. The clutch will slip a lot so it's not something you want to do a lot, but it helps in emergencies.

With an open diff lightly applying the parking brake may help if one wheel has traction and not the other. But if neither have traction it won't help.

Carrying some weight in the bed is probably the best/simplest solution.

You need good tires with a fair amount of tread. AT tires may not help with this and may in fact be worse on a concrete ramp that is slick.

    back to bone stock.
the tires are older, less tread, and rubber got harder...total guess.

Yeah, even on a good ramp I always click into 4wd when backing the boat/jetskis into the water. When you put parking brake / truck in park this also locks the front tires.

Not the case in our trucks. From a stop the truck will always start in 1st.

putting bags of sand in bag. i only ask because i dont know..

how does this help? you already have a boat trailer pushing down on the back of the truck adding weight. more weight? this is not the same as having a bunch of your friends in back hopping up and down in unision. that is adding a dynamic load..no?

and using it for added grit? the back wheels are typcially underwater when you start to lose grip right?

    2WD Auto for my truck.

The tires have about 500 miles on them and I have been using the same brand and model of tire since I have had the boat.

    Weight is weight, yes

Tires are usually half way up the ramp when they start to slip, when way back the boat is floating so no strain in getting it out

Perhaps you can try using a junk piece of carpet under each rear wheel.
When I go to known slippery ramps here, I wear tabi's, always. It's footwear with a felt material on the bottom and it greatly reduces slipping. With that train of thought, maybe a piece of carpet might work, fuzzy side down. Just a thought.
