Enhanced my reverse lights using a couple of rock lights. I bypassed the switch circuit and tapped into the truck's reverse light circuit. I light circuit is ran from my "seat delete" electrical cabinet and through the factory loom grommet that is under the driver's side seat. Waiting for darkness to test.

One at each side, under the bumper.

Power and relay are located in the lower section of my seat delete cabinet.

Here's the location of the OEM wire loom grommet.

One of my rear shocks started leaking last week. So with a lot of help from my Buddies, we rebuilt them with new oil, seals, lower spherical bearings and misalignment spacers. Just over 60K miles since new. They were due.

A special thanks to Dan @drr for the use of his garage, tools, strength and common sense. And to Zane @Speedytech7 for sharing his shock rebuilding experience/expertise.

IMG_4695.jpg Installed my transfer case and started topping off fluid on my 01 4x conversion. Got stuck on my dipstick length. My prerunner dipstick was short and I found a longer dipstick that might have came with the new 4x trans but not 100%

Anyone know what the difference is between the short or long transmission dipstick?

Not actually today but.... very recently - finally replaced my cracked door handle. The crack must have been growing because it was gradually getting more difficult to open, then finally just wouldn't open. I knew the day was coming so I already had the replacement on hand. Also removed, lubed and reinstalled the actuator/latch mechanism while I was in there. Opens like butter now - can actually open it with my pinky. Stoked!

Had to do the same in past. Found the cause of the failed handle was likely the gummed up mechanism and by lubing the linkage there's a chance the new handle will last a long time. This handle going strong after 16 months (and now have a spare for other side). But if plastic doesn't last again, thanks for the tip on the all metal handle version.

Built a way to hang a backpack in my cab from the top half of an office chair. Finally have pockets for all those little things, and a big pocket for raincoats and such. And now I always have a pack handy.

They are pretty common in the south and out west though right? They are pretty hard to find in the NE, usually the rescue groups transport them up north from NC/SC/GA.

They are very popular as a working dog on cattle ranches in Arizona and New Mexico. We have had a few over the years, very loyal dogs.

Scan gauge bracket. Spray painted it black. I feel like the design could’ve been better but it works.
