    This and that
How is your truck so clean? How many miles?
What brand of floor mats are those? 3w?
They look nice the way they overlap the edge.

I soak my clothes in permethrin and hang them to dry and used picaridin on any part of my skin that is exposed. No Mosquitos, ticks, or any other insect bothers me anymore.

What’s y’all’s opinion on the BC anti-theft tailgate lock.

I think this was the second thing I did to my Taco. Between this and my magic anti-theft rock, my tailgate is still attached.

Just wondering if others have used this type. I tried to break loose the factory torx bolts in order to use another type but broke two torx bits and even used an impact driver. And finally said screw it, will look for another design. This one looks like a good solution for me. Right now I just have a hose screw clamp on it.

I didn't need to remove any Torx bolts, just the two hex on the bracket. My kit came with a Torx bit, and some screws, but I have no idea what they were for. I did not get a larger washer for the tailgate cable support. I don't live in a place where tailgate theft seems to be a problem, so for 45 bucks or so I felt like this was sufficient.

Got some racing stripes added to the truck today by the way of my mailbox. Wish I could say that I did it so that I could be pissed at myself, but I didn’t. Pretty bummed now that the frustration has worn off but I’m trying to remind myself that everyone is okay and that it could have been much worse. It’s just a truck.

Got new tires installed after one of my Duratracs(non RT) took a razor blade straight between the treads.

Replaced them with Duratrac RTs. Hopefully they perform as well as the OG Duratracs.

Magnetic socket for the reinstall would help a bunch. I didn't have that an used a piece of paper to make the nut stay in the socket. Was a total pain of a MOD. I also didn't drop the whole headliner so needed to be careful to not create a crease. Did it but it was tight and a little rough on the hands.

Globbed the F out of my hose clamp (tail gate lock) with JB Weld after seeing that guy's video of his getting jacked with a hose clamp. I can't see this thing coming off with out a grinder or other power saw.

Even the ~$30 Amazon style locks wouldn't give me confidence after seeing those animals take there time to use a basic screw driver or Allen to get it. I think this is the best bet before jumping to the $100+ style locks.IMG20240514141614.jpg

Sabellco removes in seconds and would need a notable drill capacity to break off. Like $175 for TotalChaos bed stiffeners ... just skip a few trips to Starbucks to cover the cost.

Thanks for all the input, it was appreciated. My obstacle is I’m so cheap I could squeeze the copper off a penny. But springing for a new tailgate would put my tight ass in a comma. Im considering the Sabell. I love this TW forum but dang it’s costing me more than my ex wife.
