I got news yesterday, my boss is retiring in august. He's such a good dude; and meant the world to me getting here and to whatever level of success I've found. I'll apply for his job, but it will be announced with a very wide net so nothing is promised. Still - lots of change seemingly happening right now; daughter's wedding, son's graduation and start of law school, all the house stuff, and work changes. Xanax take me away!

had a little time today before work, removed old light and found exactly what I was expecting…

Here’s before and after countertops, you can see the old light fixture. Then the new lights.

Don’t worry, I added ceiling rated boxes for the new lights. The wire from the old light was long enough to reach the light on the left.

For anyone curious-

 

I find shit like that all the time sadly….the worst yet was when an electrician cut out the back of an electrical box, to allow the copper pipe from the bathroom on the other side of the wall, go through the electrical box. So one loose wire and your whole copper plumbing system would have become electrified. I dont understand how people sleep at night doing shit like that
