Wheel spacers are just a bullshit workaround. Lose the spacers get the right wheels, tires, and lift.

**Wait, am I going to have to explain “bulllshit”

I dunno, I like the look of OEM alloys. They're light and strong and don't cost $300-400 each.

0.75 spacers got me the clearance from the UCAs so I could run wider tires

What's the bullshit in that approach?

He just means it's the cheap workaround. Which is correct.

As long you have plenty of lug threads after the spacers and the installation was done properly it's okay.

Spacers get a bad rep cause of all the ghetto shadetree civic types that put themselves and innocent motorists at risk with their ghetto bullshit cheaping out on crucial safety components

I've only used the hub-centric type like Bora and Spidertrax. No issues with thread length on those

OP was talking about 2 inch spacers which is pretty ridiculous. He hasn't been back since his first post. Probably just trolling

2" wheel spacers is just ridiculous and implies stacking. No bueno.

If you're gonna run spacers, make sure they are machined from billet stock (preferably in the USA) and are hub centric.
    ---------
FWIW, many state laws prohibit the wheel / tire from protruding beyond the bodyline or fenderwell lip of the vehicle. This is much more of an applicable law on commercial vehicles like semi trucks for lane clearance and overall width considerations.

A modest 3/4" spacer is most likely IMHO not going to get you hassled by your local po-po officers. (But it is an excuse to pull you over!)

2" spacers? Probably the same buy you may not pass inspection in certain states and I would bet a dollar to a donut you will do better than 50/50 finding a shop willing to work on your brakes or suspension or mount you new tires with 2" spacers. Also, while unlikely, your insurance agency will be happy to deny any claim in the unlikely but conceivable scenario where offset wheels are a factor in a collision or incident.

    Food for thought.

You’ll be fine OP as long as you use good hub centric spacers. just make sure you check torque on them every now and then. I didn’t put the red loctite in case I wanted to remove the spacers, and for the hell of it one time I checked them and on one of the back wheels 2 of the nuts loosened slightly
