Double Double Animal Fries Well

No comparison, In and Out wipes the floor with Whataburger.

 

If you don't eat meat

 

Definitely not the best burger out there, but they are too cheap for that and keep it simple. For fresh real food at fast food prices, In-n-Out has always killed it.

 

My favorite from IN n Out is a 4x4 Animal style and Animal style fries

 

Whataburger in Corpus Christi, TX is $5.49. That's 53% more expensive than an In-n-Out burger.

 

There's two (2!) ounces of beef in a inandout burger patty.

 

At least in the Bay Area it’s much easier to find people who have had a higher degree of culinary training at In n Out than your typical fast food felon. Their burgers taste as good as the local craft joint, Gott’s.

 

2.5 oz on the whataburger. Ouch as well. For real though a 2oz patty is the correct weight for In-n-Out and is pretty weak.

i was just saying the other day in & out only fast food joint left where u can get complete meal for under $10.

whataburger apple pies are good though.

 

We don't have those where I live.
Even if we did, I'm too "poor" to afford it.

 

Texas mexican food is garbage. Nothing beats the mexican food in San Diego and LA unless you actually hop across the border.

And I've had Whataburger a bunch in college.....

In-N-Out is still hands down better.......

 

Good but ridiculously over-priced. I'd rather do 5 Guys for that much

2 ounces AND you have to tell them to cook the fries enough so that they're not disgusting.

 

Fair point and a disappointment to find this out. 1/8 lb is pretty weak. Going to have to start ordering double double.

Just had a double-double earlier today, around 10:15am. In'N'Out for breakfast!

To all those whingeing about the In'N'Out patties being small: that's why you order a Double-Double, which at 4oz is equivalent to a BK "quarter-pounder."

And re: In'N'OUt staff, those who know, know that at least 57.2325% of the draw of In'N'Out is that they ONLY hire pretty respectful hardworking young folks who are "with the program" of providing good-quality junk food. In my travels I must've been to at least 15 different In'N'Outs across CA from far southern to far northern and can't ever recall, even once, a surly or slovenly In'N'Out staff person. Probably hundreds of visits over the past 25 years. That counts for quite a lot in the fast food business.

And it's also obvious from the layout of every In'N'Out kitchen that they're interested in full transparency, so you can SEE how your food is being prepared. No weird vibes of "what's going on in the back on the burger line you can't see..."

Re: In'N'OUt fries, they're either garbage, or an acquired taste, I'm not quite sure. I used to order them but stopped the past year or so cause my waistline real estate was expanding too rapidly.
