It's not so bad when the bike makes it easy!

Yeah hopefully the weather cooperates. Looking at the paper map with all the points plotted is a little overwhelming to take in, but I’ve been getting inspired reading Wendy’s book. I’ll be doing the same making sure the bike and I are ready. Really appreciate your effort in planning this out.

Have fun in MD… I would join you but the DGR is this Sunday

Question: have any of you heard of or purchased from mostwantedwarehouse.com? I ask because I would almost kill for a set of Altrider crash bars for the ST, but Altrider stopped making them. I'm even checking classified ads for bikes that have them and considering trying to buy the bars from those that have them on bikes for sale. Well, in my searches that site popped up and says they have them in stock. I've never heard of them, and google isn't helping me with any reviews or anything.

If I had a nickel for every time I said that...I'd have no nickels cuz they would have been spent on the mods I was never planning to do

Never heard of them, looks like it's run out of an apartment in Greece from the address offered in terms of use.

Hmmmm. That makes me think it's a dropship scenario. It might work if Altrider still offers them in Europe.

Possibly or they just order it for dropship, it doesnt ship and you have to get your credit card involved in it. LOL

Yeah, that's entirely possible as well. I really wish Altrider hadn't given up on the ST. They still have stuff like the kickstand foot and brake pedal extender for it, but no bars or skids anymore. :(

    100/90r19
    130/80r17

looking at anakee adventures and shinko 705 but for the latter would have to go up a size in the front. Any thoughts on either or other rec’s?

I was considering doing the DGR in Harrisburg. Problem is there is a car and bike show in York that day that a friend asked me to bring the Honda to and the event in Mt Airy I mentioned. Mt Airy won out for me because a friend of mine is the US distributor for Ikon Suspension and is supposed to be at that event and I'd like to catch up with him. He used to be the service manager when I started working for a dealership way back when and taught me a lot. We've stayed in touch and remained friends. He stayed at my place in January for the Potomac Vintage bike show in York. It's also close to the 75-80 Dragway so I can snag another race track for the Team Strange event.

No problem on doing the planning. I can actually do a lot of that here at work and that's a big part of the fun for me. I've put in time for each location to take the needed pictures and have even tried to preplan which stops will include fuel based on your predicted range. We're looking at a shade over 1,100 miles and we have a whole 1 hour and 8 minutes of cushion. LOL.

    Are you sure they stopped?

They show in stock in Europe. I even put them in my cart and had it calculate shipping. Credit cards will handle the Euro conversion to dollars.

Does your scrambler have ABS / TCS? Changing tire size that effects diameters will make those systems all out of wack.

If anyone in here is looking for some camping gear, motocampnerd.com is having a 30% off sale on Big Agnes stuff today through the 27th. I bought a bag a month ago at a 25% discount and it was worth it, so this is even better! Be warned, Big Agnes stuff isn't cheap so even with a discount it'll hurt the wallet, but it's high quality stuff!

Looks like he also has some jetboil stuff for 25% off, too.

The site is legit. Small business owner trying to live his dream and quick the 9-5 daily grind and do the camping gear stuff full time. He specifically curates his offerings for motorcycle camping, but that just means it's compact and lightweight stuff. Spread the word! I'd love it if we could blow this guy's business up. I learned about him through a yootoober (Dork in the Road) and even on stuff that's not on sale I think his yootoob channel name gets a small discount.
