Yeah I know what you mean...a couple weeks hiatus from riding and the first 10 minutes or so i take very lightly, getting reacquainted. I'm actually a little scared to hop back on the S1K after 2 months, since it's so aggressive and just a little tall. But I figured if I rode it home from LA my first time riding it with no incident I'll be fine lol.

I ride when I can. Even with some of you guys and you short rides in one day, are probably more miles than I will might get in a year.

Well you see weather likes to screw us out here.. I don't feel any different when I take weeks away from my bike so that logic is rather flawed...

if/whenever you plan that ride to CA, let me know...I've always toyed with the idea of a road trip on the BMW.

Good on you to go and check out your options and weigh the pros and cons from different docs. Smart way to do it.

Imagine swapping between a grom and a FZ09. One is WOT to do 47, and the other will loop in 1st if a break isnt taken to get the wrist desensitized

hey as long as you get it in! ultimately I'm happier that there are more people riding than I am confused by the people who don't ride as frequently.

    you're broken, sample invalid

lol jk. maybe it's dependent on type of bike/ergonomics? you KLX is a much more natural seating position than a supersport, that would be my guess but idk

Brutal little beast! Almost too much in most situations.
IMG_3206.jpgThe one that got away! (I should never have sold this one. I regretted it from the moment it left, but I wanted a Superglide.) IMG_3207.jpgI’m thinking of what to replace the XSR with. It’s been a while since I had a Harley, and I’ve loved the Sportsters I’ve owned… Or a KTM 390 Duke. So many possibilities!

I on the other hand don't ride as much as I use too. Life gets in the way. When I first started riding street in 2003 I put 16k mi in 7month on my cbr600rr. Than in 2006 my older brother was killed on his bike on the way to work. That in itself slowed my riding down. My 04 cbr1000rr has 27k mi on it. My ktm I haven't been able to ride as much I as I wanted too. But plan on stacking the miles up this season. Just my 2 cents.

    I crashed pretty early on...

Idk it could just be me since I have memory when it comes to this kinda stuff where I know what to do in a way? But at the same time I have friends who have been riding for years and can go months without riding and jump back on and have no issues so I think that logic of you just ride every day otherwise is pointless is flawed and dumb... Life happens and I can't always use my bike or even want to... To hell with riding in rain or cold I want to have fun not be pissy...

idk i find it fun to ride in the rain if you have the proper tires for it. Cold negligible as long as you're prepared. Life definitely happens, and by no means am I saying everyone has to ride everyday or quit lol. It's not like I forget how to ride...it just feels less normal after a hiatus, but quickly comes back within 10-15 minutes.

It’s all good on my end.

A beautiful evening here and I could get out right now, but exhausted from work and thats an every day thing (very physical job).

I will say this… if I didn’t live so close to my office and have a take home work truck, you bet I’d ride to work. I can drive or walk there in 10 minutes. Not kidding.

I had a motorcycle before I had a car. So yea screw riding in the rain and cold did that more times that I would have liked too. I just look for the nice 70° days and I'm happy.

Riding has definitely made me tired after work. Usually have to take a nap for an hour after my 20 min ride haha. I feel old with all these creaks and pops. But my number still starts with a 3...
