When I lived in the High Desert of Socal in Hesperia my favorite fast food burger place was Farmer Boys . My favorite meal was the Farmers burger and a side of onion rings

 

Onion rings are the best.

 

Will second this as I frequent the Hullen Mall one in Ft. Worth often enough, it's not as good as any of the In-N-Outs in CA or AZ. Whataburger is hit or miss depending on location, when it's good it's good. But unfortunately most locations manage to mess it up.

 

Here is Sacramento the drive through is almost always 40-60 cars deep. I have to admin though, they get you through really fast considering the amount of cars.

That's crazy. The competitors wish they had that kind of business and cult following. The employees are genuine and friendly too. Great business model.

 

It's right around the corner from my house so my wife and I always comment on the lines. I only wish that I owned the franchise for that store. Whoever does must be making a fortune!

Well the reason why In and Out is so good at every store is because they have no franchises. Every store is owned and operated by them.

Not franchised.. Probably why the consistency in quality of food and service is across the board. I read that they pay for travel expenses for their best employees to open new locations and train new hires.
