Thanks for that. I just had to order a bed step because I forgot and you reminded me. That's one of the only real HAZARDS of owning a Taco and frequenting this forum. :)

LOL. My wife tells me my Tacoma is my kid. I'd share the love letter I wrote to my truck, but it's kinda personal.

I hear ya. I have owned many vehicles through my 45 years of driving, and my Toyota trucks have always been my hands-down favorites, although to be fair, in the beginning, as a poor farm boy, I bought my vehicles by the pound. Much later in life, and after a major career upgrade, 3 of the 4 Toyotas I've owned, I bought new.

You sure aren't wrong. Never in the long history of the human species have we had it so good, yet the easier life is, the more unhappy most people are, I swear, people were happier when they had to worry about the Vikings or the Visigoths coming through pillaging, burning, killing, and raping, and they had to work 14 hours a day in the fields for a bowl of barley gruel... Go figure.

Paid $250.00 for my first car but, then that was a lot of money to a sixteen year old working our two farms grandad paid me .75 cents to as much as $1.25 a day which included three meals.

I recommend the OEM bed step, it’s a bit pricey but bolts right up in the same frame holes with the same frame bolts. Easy, peasy. Comes in so handy when the tailgate is down and don’t have to crawl or hop into the bed. If I was 20 y/o again it wouldn’t matter but Father Time marches on.
