Vanity hahaha, mostly wanted the mid-hudson plate but also figured why not if I'm changing it anyway

 

Now you have me thinking of plates for the GX

 

I miss my conservation heritage plate from NH. The one with the moose on it. I wish Mass had some better specialty plate options

 

Agreed, I’m not a big fan of any of them. All just ok. I did see that RENTAL was available. That would be a funny one.

Yep thats what I did, I still have my old mass plates that I use to figure out where the hell to put plates on bumpers

 

All this plate convo is making me miss registering my vehicles in Montana.. life time registration and no inspection.. for 8 years after I left the state I maintained “residency” in Montana, you can register vehicles remotely it’s great. Also means not paying sales tax, which came in handy a couple of times. I’ve been considering lately, registering a business there so I can take advantage of this again. There are also companies that will set up an LLC and PO Box for you, mostly to register giant land yacht RVs in the state to avoid lots of tax, but no inspection.. that sounds so nice again.

RI has a LOT











I used to have this Osprey plate on my Mazda:


And on my truck right now I have the shark plate:





The shark plate was one of the first (I think the Bruins does now too) to accept a 6 number, combination. ANY vehicle with a bed in RI is a combination reg. So I couldn't get the osprey or wildlife plates.

The RI radio plates are boring, just says radio operator on the bottom. The MA one has a lightning bolt on it!



(And your call sign is the plate number, so in theory I can get a vanity call sign and then register it as my plate number)

I think VT has something similar.

Speaking of plates, I bought this one online and had it delivered to my work. Fake but embossed like a real plate and actual stickers for tags. Kid I work with doesn’t get it. I tell him the movie and he says he never seen it. That didn’t make me feel old.

 

That's why/how so many exotic/supercars in LA have Montana tags
