I got this Tacoma about 2 years ago with this pioneer headunit already installed. One of the first things I noticed was that it still had the original screen protecting film on it from when it was new. I figured meh I'll leave it on for awhile. Fast forward 2 years later I finally decided to take it off..

I started picking at the edges with my fingernail but it's not going to peel off in one piece, I can only chip away tiny little pieces at a time. Will this plastic scraper damage the screen at all? Any other suggestions?

After I get the film off, will goo gone and rubbing alcohol be a good choice to get all the adhesive residue off?

    Appreciate any input!

Yeah that’s not a removable protector

Hmm yeah after some googling it does seem it's meant to be a screen protector, I thought it was just one of the ones for shipping and what not. But from what I gathered people take them off once they start to get scratched up
