just a couple of things tbh
so the scr is the one id choose. but its also the same as the bolt lol just more aggressive seating position since the bolt c spec is basically the scr before the scr was a thing and then they removed the spec c sicne the scr took its sales.

there is a few bolts locally that im gonna try and look at. one is older with higher miles and i think it has one dent on a fender but its cheap and i might be able to get it in the 3k something range.

Lol dang that's a close "commute". convenient as hell though I bet, especially on those extra tiring days.

A physical job is pretty demanding, i'd be exhausted too

lol fair enough, to each their own. I don't blame you

I quite literally stated "no judgment, just escapes my comprehension". Totally understand some people have responsibilities that take precedence over riding and life gets in the way, those aren't the people I'm referring to so don't get your panties all twisted up.

Didn't realize this was such a sensitive subject...but I don't regret starting the conversation because we're getting some solid insights, pictures, and stories out of it

I'll say it again. Ride as much or as little as you want or are able to, I don't really care lol. Ultimately any (safe) riding is better than none.

This is really the crux of what I was getting at. I guess to simplify it'd be hobbyists vs enthusiasts. I'm not calling anyone in here a hobbyist regardless how much you ride...the fact you're in this thread on a Tacoma forum points to the opposite.

One more time because reading back it seems several people got upset by my implication, by no means am I bragging about much I ride nor putting down anyone who doesn't match up. I'll be the first to admit I'm still fresh to the sport compared to most in here, nor will you ever hear me brag about my riding because in my head I'm still garbage, and the track pics I have will confirm that. In no way do I think I'm better than anyone for simply putting on more miles. I just happen to love riding that I will do it every chance I get, and likely don't have as many life responsibilities as most to detract from it, combined with great weather most of the year, thus resulting in more mileage. I'm sure most in here would do the same given the same freedoms, but if not that's fine too.

Both gorgeous bikes. I always liked that color of the XSR. Fortnine actually swayed me from the 900 to the 700 in a review video where he said it was too much bike for its own good lol.

That second one is a Buell right? paging @BkerChuck. never ridden or even seen one in person but my oldest brother had one once upon a time and still regrets selling it

Yours definitely is air cooled. I don’t know for sure when the new water cooled bike (called street scrambler now) came out, but it’s a very different engine and bike; 900cc vs ours with 865cc, and it has no more throttle cables! Drive by wire, so it comes with ABS & traction control. I’m glad to have the last year of the simpler air cooled bikes, even tho it’s kind of a jack of all trades but master of none. It’ll do highway, but it sucks (& who puts a windshield on a scrambler?). It’ll do canyons but not well, especially not on stock tires. It’ll go off-road, but it’s a heavy pig. It’ll go, but not quick or fast.

I like it for cruising tho, it looks good and that 270 crank sounds awesome. Especially with an Arrow exhaust and SAI delete. I highly recommend you look into those mods! Arrow exhaust is discontinued & hard to come by now tho.

Awesome man - great post and pics! Hope you guys have a nice ride. I'll be doing the DGR in Philadelphia, looks like 157 riders registered so far. Great cause and always a wide variety of neat bikes show up. Here is my page I admittedly don't put enough effort into fund raising, nice work on your end!

I think the DGR site might be down. I can't get it to load from the links or directly.

Bad timing. Must be a traffic overload.

Correct. That's a M2 Cyclone with a lot of tasty mods done. They were one of the original hooligan bikes. Would wheelie in almost any gear. Friend of mine still has his 02.

IDK if you want a suggestion, but whenever I was in a cut I found lollipops to be great for my sugar cravings which I get pretty bad. satisfies the sweet tooth, keeps you from eating other foods for at least 30 mins, and pretty low calorie. Smarties candies too but that can be a slippery slope.

I also don't know how strict you are being, so they may not even fit within your diet but just a thought.
