Biggest thing is the watertable an slats. I also want to get the limit switches wired, home switches are mostly working again. My thc stop responding so it may have fallen victim to the power surge. Those are the major items. A bunch of fine tuning an testing to get it dialed in

Drew up the water pan in fusion using there sheet metal tools, soo considering just getting a sheet of 5x10 10g an bending up my own pan have some copper bar that i can use as a backer when welding the corner seams, that should go a long ways to prevent a blow out.

i just did the same thing at work yesterday, but do a lot of similar processes. one of the 'real' welders welded up a plow attachment bracket, but did it on the truck. he forgot a full side, and all of his underside welds looked like crap. i had everything apart, so i re-welded it so it looked like something someone would pay for. pretty straight forward. i used the original pass as a root pass, and ran one halfway above, and one halfway below.

+1 on the wire wheel method, though i will note, it's going to strip off all the paint unevenly. not a problem for welding, but a problem for later trying to paint it. the second problem is that anything you don't strip back enough paint on is going to burn away from the welder heat, which can create bubbles that are harder to sand down.

typically, i work the area with a random orbit sander(80, 250, 600, 1,000) to blend the painted/unpainted surfaces evenly, and then use a primer base(straight paint sticks different to raw metal, so many times the edge where it transitions ends up standing out without the primer step), sand/blend the primer into the old paint, repeated at least twice, then finally blend spray paint across the area so nothing stands out. normally i feather the spray paint to the next sharp contour to avoid a color mismatch, in this case, it'd be the other tow hook. you'll likely end up repainting the entire bumper. to fix one weld... it can be done, but it's a massive pain. i've spent close to full days just on the paint work on stuff like that, where i just needed to touch up a little 1" weld...

alternatively, this could be a great spot for some black caulk. spread it on in a radius larger than the current weld seam, and it'll look good visually, without resorting to repainting the entire bumper.

or, just leave it. they clearly got good penetration on the weld, so it's not like the structure is lacking.

    Not sure I'm believing this.

I think I could have bought a turn key table cheaper than what I have into my home built table.

true... but it was a lot less painful to the wallet and easier to hide from the ex when it was pieced out over time.
