For you guys that did the ABS Kill Switch mod, does your traction control and VSC turn off completely when you turn off the ABS with the kill switch?

If your referring to the one that interrupts the brake switch signal going to the Skid Control ECU (ABS Module) no that would have no effect on traction/stabilty control.

Those can be turned off by holding the traction control off button for 3 seconds, stability control will turn back on at speeds above 30mph though for safety reasons.

when i wanted to do stupid crap in my truck, never realized you had to hold it to fully turn it off. I happened to read the manual on this.

Best I can tell that mod essentially makes the ABS module think the rear differential is locked so yes it would disable ABS and stability control, not sure about traction control.

ABS, VSC, and Traction Control are different and semi-independent systems even though they all rely on the ABS module to work.

One of the first things I did to my 2013 sport and yes it disables ABS, TRAC, and VSC all on the fly with one click of the button, it's really nice in the winter with changing conditions if you know how you want your truck to respond to inputs. You can use a lighted ABS off switch from air on board with a relay if you want it to look OEM and fit right into the extra slots.

When you are driving on snow or icy roads, do you just turn off the ABS before you start your trip?

Depends on the road conditions and what tires I have on, often times yes as I like to be able to test out the braking/accelerating traction since it can be different in different storms of course. A lot of times though if I'm driving like 3 hours up north or something to ski it will be raining or clear when I leave my house but then turns to slush, ice, snow etc. as I get to the mountain so it's nice to be able to turn everything off on the fly without having to stop, hold stuff down, etc. Can turn it on and off as many times as you please whenever you want.

No I like how it turns that off as well so that it doesn't cut throttle when slipping. I will admit the TC/VSC is impressive though if you have no clue how to drive in snow and were just to mash the pedal especially while turning haha
