CV axle play normal

    Yesterday I checking some things out on the truck and I noticed that there was a bit of play where the CV goes into the front diff, had no signs of a bad axle, no leaks no clicking is this normal

    Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
    Yes, about 1/8 inch in and out is normal. Both sides of the truck should be about the same.

    When they get loose there will be a lot of play, in/out and up and down and you will know.

    So it is not just moving in and out there is a slight up and down where the coller meets the diff , no leaks , no clicking , it happens on both sides
