I'm getting the lightbar installed along with my hybrid bumper next week. I was thinking it would be good to tie the backlighting on the lightbar into the DRLs. Has anyone else done this or have recommendations for other ways to do it? I don't want it on a separate switch.

    Thanks!

I did this with my lights as well. I bought a plug and play cable that goes between the headlight and the factory harness. It provides a power cable that goes on and off with the DRLs. I think it's made for Raptor lights. Works very well.

Installing an add-a-fuse is also a viable option. The fuse for the DRL I believe is in the fuse box under the hood. All you have to do is plug the add-a-fuse into the one you want to tap into, install the additional fuse and then connect the wire lead coming off of the add-a-fuse to the wire coming from the light bar. Worst thing is you would have to add a bit of wire.

You can pickup both the add-a-fuses and wire off Amazon for <$30 and install it pretty easily with basic hand tools and some heat shrink.

I just picked up a BD S8 bar and am thinking about going the Add-a-fuse route that way if I want it triggered with something else I simply unplug the fuse and move it to a different one.

Those harnesses do look badass but $90 is steep for something you could do for essentially a 1/3 of the cost.

Thanks, sounds interesting. I ordered the harness already tho, for $50. Good to have options tho.

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
But it's a hot fuse, as in always powered. Not activated as you think with the DRL circuit.

The BD S8 has a backlight option? ......dimly lit with the DRL's and full brightness with the BD-toggle switch?

I'm still running the ugly shitty BD supplied toggle.....I need to get the voswich installed already!

I'll take pictures once installed. I've heard the backlist isn't very bright.
