Hey, I have a question for you guys. My 2020 trd off road tacoma is acting like it’s stuck in four-wheel-drive but there’s no power being sent to the front differential. I recently got my truck regeared 529s and the first time I went out to go break in the front diffs I put it in 4wd heard it click into, and the lights came on and dash. I took it to the dealership they said it’s the front diff actuator, the transfer case actuator, and the four-wheel-drive ECM. I got a cheap front diff actuator from Amazon connected it. It clicks in and out, and then throws the same code. Don’t know what else to do

Not sure what the question is here but from the looks of it the shop wants to do the "we don't know what it is or how to test it so let's replace everything approach".
Find someone that does actual diagnostics or get some help here to diagnose it yourself.

Who did the regear, and why so low gear ratio? Apparently, dealer don’t know about regear to 5.29?;)

^this is excellent advice^ My additional comments:

    1) I highly doubt the "cheap" front diff actuator you got off Amazon is any good. I hope you saved the original. I would consider that to be a critical component, meaning one that should only come directly from a Toyota dealer. (You would also be better off getting a used one from a salvage yard, but I digress)

    2) More importantly, you have a P17A4 diagnostic trouble code according to the service ticket. This is a circuit malfunction code. I found this troubleshooting procedure in less than 1 minute of surfing online.
Toyota Tacoma (2015-2018) Service Manual: Automatic Disconnecting Differential Motor Limit Switch Circuit (P17A4) - Touch Select 2-4 And High-low System - Vf2cm Transfer (ttguide.net)

Granted, yours is a 2020 - but you get the point. Toyota has a published procedure to follow to exactly diagnose the problem. Reading the procedure, I would definitely consider the procedure as "technically very difficult" and one that would require a "highly competent technician" with advanced electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., able to back probe harness connectors with T-pins and to make resistance and voltage measurements).

YOU NEED TO FIND A SHOP WILLING TO FOLLOW THE TOYOTA TECHSTREAM P17A4 DTC SERVICE PROCEDURE AND BEHAVE WITH INTEGRITY AND NOT JUST SELL YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PARTS

You might just need a harness connector repair or have a pinched wire. Not uncommon when changing gears.....

OP states he did get 5.29 gears so this doesn't make sense.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Sad that a lot of dealers are stuck with part changers instead of diagnostics technicians. You gotta separate mechanical issue from electrical issue. There a thread in here in regards of a list of self diagnose in the 4wd systems. If they say a component it’s bad they got to explain why.

I think OP may have edited his post as the gear ratio I read originally was not 5.29 (I think).
