Part of the whole schpeal is that you learn all these real world skills while serving your country. damn. Not much going on here this weekend. Napping with the pups, playing some card and board games with my better half before she leaves on a two week long trip come Monday. She's doing all the fun stuff, spending a week in Madrid, and going to see her lord and savior Taylor Swift twice before coming back.

Well, after a snafu with a piece of carpet, I didn't see in the swamp behind my house, I had to take the deck off my mower. Turns out I bent the hell out of one of my blades somehow. I was going to just grind them sharp and put them back on, but looks like I'll be replacing them instead.

Morning I dislike painting as well, probably why I need to do some painting.

 

I love to paint, find it relaxing. Too bad I'm so far away

 

I actually don’t mind painting, it’s the prep work, sanding. As we all know, prep work is key.

 

I'm a big fan of the 18" roller

 

Cheater
3” brush, 1” brush, artist brush, on the tv wall.
Windows and corners and baseboard heat and moldings.
Not worth the wasted paint and cleaning for two sweeps.

 

In new construction the painters will spray the paint, then back roll it for easier touch up. Trim always done first, sprayed and taped off. They make it look so easy, new construction so much easier, no asshole homeowners in the way.
