Thank you. I think I need to add some additional coats, I did only one side today and plan to do the other two wheels tomorrow. Did a real thorough cleaning and prep before applying but needs more layers.

After two and a half months in the body shop, I finally got back in my Tacoma! Much of the front end had to be replaced after I got hit by a guy running a red light in February. New hood, left front fender, bumper assembly, grille, headlights, fog lights, and lots of other parts. Radar sensor, support brackets, skid plate, etc. They pretty much replaced everything back to the radiator, according to what I understand. Ideally I would’ve gotten it back a few weeks sooner, but of course Toyota sent several incorrect parts, which delayed things. Grand total was $11K, but thankfully I just had the $500 deductible, which I should hopefully get back since I was not at fault.

But the best part is I sent in my last payment on it this morning!

Removed the rear seats, plastic panels and the tool bins. I'd post pics, but I'm relatively sure most people have seen what that looks like. Lot of work going to go on back there. Sound mat the floor & rear cab wall. Running a powered sub to back there. And then once that's done, drawers/platform/dog & fridge deck.

16,300 miles, 3rd oil change, anyone else pre-fill the cartridge? The 64mm/ 14flute, $5 oil cap wrench works great!
Tires rotated and cleaned up the backside, wiped down the frame with 409 and a couple dry towel to get it looking new again.
Started the fluidfilm around the rear end, hitch, leaf springs and rear break housing, and it passed the rear axle slag recall Friday.
Still want to tint front widows to match rear, and add the 1/2” TRDPRo block
    (PT82A-35220-SS)
to the rear springs, and I’ll be done. Hopefully

Rear axle recall done. They cleaned up weld splatter and replaced a couple of parts.

Freebie oil change done with tire rotation and “checkup “.

No worries! (Except for the charge pad they saw no problem with, but hasn’t worked since day 1 on my 14 pro max).

I also pre-fill the oil filter cartridge housing each oil change now. I always did it with my other vehicles that had spin on filters. I tried on the last oil change and it was not messy. Probably not necessary but my OCD kicks in and I can’t help myself.

The old ones are glazed and need to be turned, just having a hard time finding anyone who could do it in a reasonable amount of time.

I've always prefilled the filter when possible. Great video explaining the benefits:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=939WTeorBnQ

@Hansamzac got to see this before all of you and even posted a small sneak peek! I wanted to get all my goodies attached to my new bed rack before I got some official pictures of it. Midnight forest 8 gal water tank on passenger side and the drivers side will stay open and get my custom made bike mounts when I take it to trails or whatever else I decide I want to bring.

I had the KBVoodoo VRS bed rails and bed bars on for quite a while now and finally pulled the trigger on getting the rest of the bed rack. Super pleased with their products, no shock there, definitely check them out for made in USA quality tonneau cover bed racks! I ended up with full aluminum 12in mid height and I think it looks perfect!

Thank you! Much appreciated! My dad actually picked up a clone to yours in the fall (TRD OR though) after he saw how much I liked mine! I love blue crush, such a beautiful deep metallic blue. Here's his!IMG_7190.jpg

i've never really thought to pre-fill this filter. but then my other car has a top-mount filter, and my previous truck had a side-mount filter. so i got away from pre-filling for the last 10 years. because of those vehicles, i don't really feel a need. those vehicles worked fine with an 'empty' filter, and my oil change proceedure was rarely long enough to allow the entire top end to fully drain. so while things like hydraulic lifters might have been lacking pressure, i feel there's enough of a coating throughout the main components to justify for a little while.

Last weekend I swapped the front door speakers from factory to Kickers. I figured since I had to remove the door panels, I might as well add sound deadening. I went with Noico 80mil. This is the first time I've ever added material like this to any of my vehicles but after doing the fronts, it was such a drastic difference, in terms of the doors sounding solid vs hollow, compared to the rear doors. This weekend I did the rear doors and also the storage compartment under the rear seats. I think I may have self diagnosed myself with OCD as now I want to go crazy and do the entire truck. I have enough to do the back wall so that will probably be my next project. :D

The back wall made a huge difference to me. I haven’t done the doors yet, though.

Here is a short video where I knock on the finished driver door and then the rear door without the material.
