I've always prefilled the filter when possible. Great video explaining the benefits:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=939WTeorBnQ

@Hansamzac got to see this before all of you and even posted a small sneak peek! I wanted to get all my goodies attached to my new bed rack before I got some official pictures of it. Midnight forest 8 gal water tank on passenger side and the drivers side will stay open and get my custom made bike mounts when I take it to trails or whatever else I decide I want to bring.

I had the KBVoodoo VRS bed rails and bed bars on for quite a while now and finally pulled the trigger on getting the rest of the bed rack. Super pleased with their products, no shock there, definitely check them out for made in USA quality tonneau cover bed racks! I ended up with full aluminum 12in mid height and I think it looks perfect!

Thank you! Much appreciated! My dad actually picked up a clone to yours in the fall (TRD OR though) after he saw how much I liked mine! I love blue crush, such a beautiful deep metallic blue. Here's his!IMG_7190.jpg

i've never really thought to pre-fill this filter. but then my other car has a top-mount filter, and my previous truck had a side-mount filter. so i got away from pre-filling for the last 10 years. because of those vehicles, i don't really feel a need. those vehicles worked fine with an 'empty' filter, and my oil change proceedure was rarely long enough to allow the entire top end to fully drain. so while things like hydraulic lifters might have been lacking pressure, i feel there's enough of a coating throughout the main components to justify for a little while.

Last weekend I swapped the front door speakers from factory to Kickers. I figured since I had to remove the door panels, I might as well add sound deadening. I went with Noico 80mil. This is the first time I've ever added material like this to any of my vehicles but after doing the fronts, it was such a drastic difference, in terms of the doors sounding solid vs hollow, compared to the rear doors. This weekend I did the rear doors and also the storage compartment under the rear seats. I think I may have self diagnosed myself with OCD as now I want to go crazy and do the entire truck. I have enough to do the back wall so that will probably be my next project. :D

The back wall made a huge difference to me. I haven’t done the doors yet, though.

Here is a short video where I knock on the finished driver door and then the rear door without the material.

Looks awesome! I like mine but would like the DRLs to be amber. Anyone know if it's possible to change the stock TRD pro DRLs to amber?

Haven't done anything yet, but I'll be dealing with this crap soon. Loudest stone to the windshield I've ever heard, and the long cracks formed within minutes.20240518_140207.jpg

Follow up on my diode dynamics SL2 Pro brights. Had these in for 2 weekends now and I am very impressed with their performance. These are a game changer for rural night driving, the super clean white light blasts way down the road and also lights up the road sides extremely well.

I have cheap LED's in my old S10 and they are an improvement, but these are crisp and focused right out of the box. Expensive, but very very nice.

Delete the app from your phone, then push the button in your truck and when they answer tell them you want to opt out of all connected services. You will get an email confirming you are done being spied on.

The DRLs change to amber when the indicators are turned on.

Did you want the white portion of the DRLs to be amber?

Yes, the DRLs go from white to amber once the turn signal is on. I'm looking for the white DRLs to be amber all the time.

I've seen @MESO do an amber insert in a tundra instead of replacing the white LEDs for amber but nothing further.

Well tried to use a different zerk coupler and still didn’t get it to connect to the zerk
The coupler was too long to get to the opening to seat on the zerk
It worked fine where there was enough depth to seat the coupler
What coupler and or technique are you using to grease the front u joint closest to the transfer case?
