I'd sell my mother to the Taliban for a brand-new 2023 DC sitting next to my 2021 AC.

And yet I still hear people talking about $10,000 "Market Adjustments" on these things.

Toyota truck hybrids were never intended to do anything with fuel economy. They’re 100% designed to increase power and torque.

Whatever your opinion on hybrids, hybrid trucks don’t see any better fuel economy and whatever horsepower gains you could get from them you could’ve just gotten by putting in a bigger engine.

Man o man do people get pissy in here; its the drama that brings me back, not the trucks.

Either way...what is the recommended oil change interval on the gen4? Just kinda curious.

See, same as your current truck. It even takes like 1/2 a quart less oil now!

Before covid hit it was normal to see 10-20 tacomas on dealer lots as well as tundras. My dealer has alot of older tacomas for sale and the prices have not increased on them like some report. Many of them are trade ins for the new tacoma.

Much of the technology and new developments are the way of the future, even for mid sized pick ups. My mother refuses to buy a new car because she doesn't want one "with all those buttons and fancy stuff." She's 85 years old so her old clunker will probably hang on. I don't see the simpler vehicles of old making a comeback. As for other pickups, I'm not well versed, other than what I see on commercials. They all emphasize the technology and comfort elements.

Meanwhile I’ll browse Ranger Raptors, damn whoever brought up no ventilated seats on the RR. My current Taco doesn’t have it. I can live without cooled balls right if I find a MSRP dealer???

Not good reasons, a couple aren't really a reason.
I don't buy a vehicle because it won't fit in the garage, maybe a lamborghini.
You can hardly fit two medium size people in the back of these comfortably for more than 15 minutes for $60K ??? Left that out conveniently.
What percentage actually go off road with these ? Not many. I bet.
I guess when 2 cylinder comes out you'll be on it.
This was a nice reasonably priced truck but it is ridiculous now.

And that’s why we have recessions. And depressions.
