I would imagine this is a problem regardless of color, but our 2021 TRD Off Road, Army Green, has a terrible Sun Glare reflection off the Windshield to the back corner of the hood where it breaks at almost a 90 degree corner just in front of the Wipers. Absolutely eye piercing!!
Is there something simple to apply to cure this? I'm at the point I'm thinking about masking off a strip across the back of the hood and painting it Flat Black
    I don't want a full Hood Wrap.
    Thanks

Get a full hood wrap and cut it to your desired shape. It can easily be undone at any time.

I have thought of getting just the top of the scoop wrapped to block the glare.

Quick Goo Goo search comes up with quite a few from Amazon to Etsty & E-Bay too. Some plain some with prints.

And there are other versions for the scooped crowd.

You seem to be correct; my Cement truck has the glare as well. I've thought of a full hood wrap or just a coating of flat clear coat. I'm leaning towards the flat clear coat as another vehicle I wrapped the wrap is old, faded and peeling.

Most wraps don't seem to cover the only part that bothers me.

I’m on my way to the hospital to get 4-5 vertebrae removed immediately.

I just missed my chance. I had two neck discs replaced two weeks ago. I should have asked for thinner ones.

I only notice it when I think about it. Other than that, sunglasses and it’s not really that bad.

Yes - this area has gotten me a few times. Plan is to mask it off and spray with Plasti-dip. Luckily (?) it’s been so rainy / overcast here in PA that sun glare isn’t a problem.

That's a 6" x 6 foot roll at the local auto parts store. I want flat but they just had CF.

I don't know vinyl so I just helped my buddy do it. This is the thick adhesive stuff. We used a hair dryer to heat it up which gets it flow into the contour and activates the adhesive. The front is an uncut edge and the back is rolled underneath and trimmed. You're gonna want to get a nice wrinkle free wrap under the the back cause that's what your eyes will be drawn to next.

I might consider this paint option. What is that thing in the middle of the hood; black with a cord coming off it? Reminds me of a Garmin external GPS antenna.
