Never heard of them but this is super tempting, especially at the price point:

196 miles around Adirondack mountain and over to star hill. I’m getting very comfortable on this bike fast. Came back with 1/4 strip left untouched on the tires feeling very comfortable in the corners

That's a hell of a stripped down looking bike. Looks fast just sitting there!

I'm surprised that plate placement is legal though.

You can read it fine in a car right behind the bike. I’ve been in front of local and state of with no issues but I ride responsibility so not giving them a reason to check. Coming from a 351 dual sport this thing is a rocket for a 650 pulls hard between 5-8k

Nice pics Chuck it's really cool seeing those old bikes in person.

Yesterday was fun. It started with some good luck...I pulled a small piece of metal out of my rear tire and it didn't go deep enough to cause a leak, that was nice. The DGR in Philly had a great turnout as usual - 165 riders registered and a total of $30k raised for charity. A lot of bikes there, we had to park them tight to fit along the side of the street that was reserved for us in the city. I took a few pics need to get them off my work phone.

Most people were going to Yards afterwards for lunch, but it was so nice out I wanted to keep riding so I headed west and ripped the backroads for a few hours. Then got home and hung out in the garage rest of the evening... cleaned and waxed the chain on the Super duke and some other odds/ends.

Hard to get a good read on the engine until it's past the break in phase. Currently limited to 7500RPM and it's just starting to make power at that RPM. It feels like a thumper through first gear and pulls smoothly through the rest of the gears. I'm sure it will be a little ripper once it's broken in.

    @FreshOldTaco thanks for the shoutout!

Of all the v-twin Guzzis (since 1967) that is one of the 3-4 most sought after of all models. Beautiful!! Less than 1400 sold globally from 89-93, less than 200 in the USA, and in 1993, only 19 came to the country with this, the most sought after paint scheme. Rare bike with insane torque delivery.

    upload_2024-5-20_10-30-56.png

We had a good turnaout as well. 196 bikes

MoTow sponsored the Indy ride so I actually towed it down. Kinda lame, but I had to display the hitch.

^ How is the hitch? I have a dirt bike carrier and its a pain in the ass.

I guess the biggest thing is much less tongue weight, very mild front tire wear on the bike.

guaranteed not legal plate placement, but if you arent being an asshole an officer wont use that as an excuse to pull you over I have found..... tho on that bike it would be hard not to hoon around haha.

I saw that bike and thought of you, very nice and the paint scheme is what caught my eye...didn't realize how rare it is. Great pics and turnout over there!

Surpisingly good. And I'd argue 'zero' tire wear. It rolls with no resistance. Think of a small trailer without brakes. Those tires dry rot before they show wear. The vehicle bears very little weight, the front suspension ends up handling a fraction of it's normal workload. And when your get to your destination, you take up no space, and can throw it in your truck if you want.

That bike (photo)is 550lbs. I''ve put hundreds of miles on at 75-80, construction zones etc, no problems at all. Nice alternative. Even better with a 400# or less bike.

I would really consider it if they were rated over 600#, but the ST is kinda fat for that. I will just have to use a trailer if I want to tow it out.

yeah. They have their place but they can't do it all.

One of my bikes has a lower drop rear fender, and it interferes when loading into the cradle. Another, I have to remove the bags and rear rack. What are you gonna do. Next best thing in my opinion is to find a Kendon single that folds up. Those things are awesome. Watch marketplace. I've seen 'em suprisingly cheap secondhand.

Just looked up the Kendon trailers. Never heard of them. Pretty slick, but I don't really need/want the folding stuff. I have space for a trailer and would rather not have the added cost and potential failure points (unlikely as that is), but I am starting to shop for aluminum MC trailers. I wouldn't mind a two bike (if it can carry a single bike in the center) or even 3 bike trailer, but damn is aluminum pricey.

There's always the Home Depot/Lowes utility trailers as a cheap option. Aluminum is nice but double/triple the cost for not a lot of benefit on a trailer this size.

I already have a Big Tex utility trailer, so if I change up it's got to be an upgrade.
