4th gens NOT selling

Look no further than a cheeseburger and large fries for $10. Used to be $5.60 not long ago. Crazy.

 

Tulips in Holland once sold for about $244 a piece or about 6x a persons salary.

 

People hating on it who have never driven one is comical. I won’t even respond to any of it. Like I said, it’s not even close. This new Taco is the biggest leap of all generations…

 

The 2024's are selling fast here in b.c apparently. Dealer had 8 Tacomas show up last week, 4 Sport and 4 OR. Went down this weekend and they were all sold.

 

Everything is overpriced. Colorado LT selling for $63k at our dealership.

lol fake news besides like 5 people which sucks but Toyota will fix them. Going on 8 months and not a single issue. Also record numbers being sold over last model years. The 5.7 is/was great but time to move on /moar power !

My local dealer has 2 platinum's with an 8k discount each. Both are 2023s.

 

I haven't test driven one yet. I'm just kinda sad they changed the design to look like every other new pickup out there.

 

I have only seen one "in the wild," looked just like a mini-Tundra and it looks like they have a dent on the rear panels on the bed. IMO, it is a sharp looking truck visually, but I am biased.

 

Not all are made in Mexico. Some of them are made in Texas.

 

They haven't made any Tacoma's in Texas for a few years, it's Mexico only.

FFS....I figure it was that guy before I clicked.....and made it 5 seconds. Tacoma sales drop 60% for the first quarter....no shit. I wonder why?!?!? /S

 

I don't think that guy knows what a subsidy is. The only subsidies car makers get are for EV and related technology. Much of that is in the form of low-interest loans. Other than that, they are required to meet fuel economy improvements of 2% year over year for passenger cars, and 4% year over year for light trucks. That's a requirement, not an incentive.

Anyway, I've been happy with the changes for each new model, although I don't own a 4th gen. I think each change improved on the previous. Probably the biggest disappointment was between 1st and 2nd when they made them bigger. Second is the current pricing that seems a bit high.

 

Or tax credits and zero duties since the TJ plant is part of the NAFTA deal.
