The adapter I had made locally here in CO to mate the tacobox to the 6speed cost me $1000 on top of the $2000 for the tacobox, so yeah...$1600 for the case that you can more or less drop your gears into seems pretty reasonable.

 Glad this was helpful to someone.

Where there is enough will, there is a way. I bought a brand new tacobox second hand that had all the adapters for an auto, only to discover that with inchworm out of business, no one made the adapter I needed. There's a machine shop in commerce city that should still have my design for the 22/23 spline trans adapter as well as the oil seal extension housing for the 2nd/3rd gen manual. I'm happy to share details with anyone who has a marlin/TG 4.7 setup and needs the parts. Anyone except marlin.

If I were to do this again, I'd consider doing the ecocrawler to a Rubicon 4:1 case or something other than a stock toyota case with a better ratio and probably clock it next time round. Admittedly this is my first truck, so I don't really know what other good non-toyota options are out there for a lower range tcase in the rear.

They have a lot of Mustang Mach E's and F150 lightnings now. Most of the troopers I know hate the EV's lol. I think they are still sticking with Chargers, Durango's and some F150's for patrol use

two months into the new accountant, and moving on to the next one. :annoyed:
The younger generation better figure out that kids are NOT an excuse for not getting shit done.
I swear if I had to tell customers that I had to postpone a deadline due to Junior's rugby game, I wouldn't have that customer long.

Oof, supercharged on an early 2005 with known head gasket issues? No thanks.

Oh nice, that's a completely lie after looking at the photos. there is no supercharger. Still $22k is a decent price for an almost new 2005... But it's going to go higher.

In the comments they listed "not super charged" They also have it listed with limited slip diff but it's an off road and the locker button is there so that's also wrong. Dealer doesn't seem too bright.

Yeah, I had to read through all the comments incrementally because searching the whole page doesn’t work. They left my comment in purgatory since they want the bidding to go as high as it will go.

it was a good callout by one commenter that the bed decals are from a 12-15 model. I really question the “flares were faded” then “flares were cracked so we painted them”.

I've heard the same thing. Even re-man OEM racks.
May not need a rack though....

CV is fine as far as I know.

Finally just went out and looked at things as last night my diagnosis was limited to "tie rod not being a tie rod".

I'm super cornfuzzled. Maybe I'm an idiot but.... female threads on the rack seem fine. Male threads on the inner tie rod seem fine. Neither look nice and shiny like they were just recently decoupled though.
    AP1GczPSIf2xKDa5D8t7c7TYfHTe4amCnF6mKj3j_dcb4260833ed3bbd067520fcc359e8731f7e4d62.jpg

I replaced the outer tie rods years and years ago when I bent a spindle wheeling. We adjusted the tie rods as best we could to get a "trail alignment" so I could limp it home without shredding the tires. Inner/outer joint was kind of seized up and a bitch from the factory so that's why I replaced the outers. I *think* I just replaced the outers but maybe I did the inners too. Did alignment then and not since to the best of my memory.

The truck hasn't been my daily for a year or so. The boy has been driving it. What confuses me is if the thing had unthreaded itself, I would think the toe would be out far enough to notice. If it got aligned while barely threaded, it hung in there for years.

    WTF happened here?

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Rusty threads would seem to indicate it's been loose for a while.

Also, there should have been a washer that keys into those slots on the rack, and it looks like it was either omitted, or hasn't been engaged for a while.
