I like a clean car, and I like to keep my truck looking good but at
65+ I've started to notice a little chest pain around the first quarter
    panel I work on....

Don't wanna have to rely on my heart-attack-rescue-pills just yet 'eh ...

Do these trucks do ok in an automatic car-wash - ?...

I got nothing fancy hanging off of it...

I'd actually pay someone who does mobile detailing and knows what they're doing.....rather than use a brush or brushless carwash. Brush=scratching and brushless sometimes has so much pressure it can do bad things. Not to mention what's in the water those things are applying. Best to you for your health. I'm not far behind you at 62 and thinking about this kind of stuff. I love hand washing my truck, but sometimes just don't have it in me to do it.

He'll yeah, just run her through the car wash! I'm about your age and I don't worry about shit like a perfect paint job anymore!

First, best of luck with your health! Life's too short already.

I've never had an issue at a brushless. Seen some horror stories with the brush ones- even though I've a done it a couple times.

That mobile detail was a good suggestion. Maybe that mixed with a quick brushless every once in a while?

Yea at this point my time is worth more than the money - I think I'll pay someone to come give it a good wash -
Thankfully in the SouthWest a good wash late spring and early 'winter' is all you need as we get so little rain.

I just started working at a cement plant. If you don't get the dust washed off within 24 hours then you're hand washing it with vinegar tomorrow.

I made the suggestion that HR should negotiate a discount subscription and offer it as an employee benefit. :anonymous:

I use touchless carwashes, mostly in the winter to help with the salt. Make sure it includes the power underspray at the beginning. Thankfully my Tan Taco hides the dirt in the summer.

But if I go playing in the mud, I'll hit the touchless car wash immediately before it dries/hardens. (again make sure it includes the underspray)

I’m right there with ya at 61 and still wash semi tractor trailer trucks every day all day so when it comes to my personal vehicles I just don’t feel like it.

Ha right - ... painters house needs paintin.... cobblers children have no shoes...

I suspect if I had eaten right and didn't smoke I'd be in better shape -

For those younger whipper-snappers on the site - take care of the only body you got.
