Well, I had a pleasant suprise over the weekend. My wife got me a set of the D.D. ss3 sport foglights in yellow for my birthday. Very excited to get these, can't wait to put them in! One lighting upgrade goal met, next will be some aux driving lights/bar, then the ss2 reverse lights.:bananadance:

My favourite lighting upgrade is my SSc3 4K pro with driving lens mounted behind the grill and tied into my high beams. They are on a three way switch so: on with high beam/off with high beam/on independent of high beam.

For my money, much preferred over a light bar.

I like how you have your lights setup. I like the 3 way switch setup, it would be really useful wired that way. No fumbling to find a switch to dim when meeting another vehicle at night on a winding road. I was considering a hidden lightbar mostly for ease of mounting, and some theft deterrence, as my truck sits at an unsecured yard when i'm doing my afternoon route.I also like the behind the grille mounting with the ss3s, I have been checking out the posts on that setup. I really would love to have a setup like the nfab mounting bar, or something similar, with 2 big round driving lights in center, with 2 outer smaller flood or fogs. But unfortunately, I am afraid they would be stolen, so for the time being, those are out of the running. Thank you for your advice and suggestions, they are much appreciated!

Is there a difference im missing between these two? I had ss2 on and plugged my ss2 straight into my ss3s and they work but my ss3 came with the 4 wire connector.
    From my ss2

The yellow wire is secondary functionality that doesn’t mean anything on the SS3 or SSC2. The only current application for the 4th wire is for the “brake” function on the C1R. The reason you’re getting a 4-pin pigtail with the new equipment is on Diodes end so that they can just make one type of pigtail that works with anything 4-pin in their lineup now and into the future.

Got them installed today! Wow they look awesome, just will have to give them a final adjustment after dark. Super easy to install, didn't have to disassemble anything, just reached down from top. Did the"plugged in wrong way" thing, but was easy to correct.I have to figure out how to post pics next, lol!

Finally got my lighting setup where I want it. 6 SS3s on the roof, all white with amber covers. Two Max spot beams, two Pro driving beams, two Sports with driving beams. Ditch lights are amber SS2 Pros with combo lenses. Two SS18 lightbars, driving behind the grill and flood in the bumper. Finally, two SS3 sport amber fogs. Honorable mention for the two amber SS3 Sports with flood beams flush mounted in the rear bumper.

Thanks! If I get a full front bumper, I want to go with a pair of SS5s in the front, but until then, it's perfect!

I just bought the SS42 to go on my Prinsu rack and have the 6gang Auxbeam. Do you have any tips or guides on install? I keep seeing some people cutting the windscreen and people using different brackets. I'm also in Ontario cheers

Gotten my lighting game a little bit more dialed in recent years. DD really peaked my interest with their no-bull video comparisons with other lights. I should really get some night/beam shots one of these days. So far my only gripe has been some corrosion issues ive had driving in salty environments. I do love the built in Duestch connectors on the lights. As someone who is perpetually playing around with the stuff and moving lights and wires around, its nice to just worry about building a harness and not worrying about pig tails and repinning.

    On the Tacoma:

    -SS3 Max SAE Amber Fogs
-30" DD Amber Light Bar behind the grill (Mounted above the BD ONX6+)
Ive played with different lenses on this and I wanna order a set of Clear/Driving lenses (5) but the shipping costs more than the subtotal with tax. @Diode Dynamics I've spent thousands on your stuff, I wish your small parts shipping was reasonable. Can't you just throw that stuff in an envelope and send it my way lol.
-SS2 Sport Amber Combo (not utilizing backlight currently) as Chase/Reverse Lights.
    -8 Red Rock lights.

    4Runner:

    -SS3 Max SAE Amber Fogs
-SS2 Pro Combo Clear as "Ditch" lights but they are triggered off my high beams and angled for night highway driving in deer country
-SS1 Sport Floods for reverse lights. Red backlight as a running lights and then main light is triggered off the reverse lights. Mounted on Snowbound brackets.
