I was pretty impressed with you knowing I was 65. I thought you probably saw me posting on the 60+ thread. Actually the range I go to doesn’t have senior days or times. But since I’m retired I go shooting during the week in the morning and there is never hardly anyone there. I dont go near the place on weekends.

 

Had a guy retire from our organization and he was good enough that leadership basically begged him to come back for like 6 months. "Yeah okay but but if you need anything from me on Mon or Wed mornings you're going to have to come find me at the range." Told my boss I'd gladly go find him if needed.

 

I was just guessing you’re age, I actually go to my indoor range the day after senior day while everyone is at work and hardly anyone is there.
The discount for seniors is not worth me going in to a crowded building full of people with guns

 

Well ... this has been am interesting 3 days. Post1 through post ... um ... 3986.

Started with a G45 back in NC in 2020 (sheriff office permission needed to buy). I thought I had been smartly by reading enough Guns&Ammo to make a reasonable decision. The shop selected AmerGlo iron sights and offered the max they could of 1 50-rd box. What a F$%^ of a year that was overall!

Moved to AZ in 2021 and bought a G44 to plink/practice. Only problem I have is with Federal 40 gr range ammo (too many rounds left of that) that hang once-per magazine. No problem with Hornady and Wildcat 36 gr rimfire ... odd.

Looking to get G43x and thought I had seen enough of the Holosun HE-507K-GR fitting, but now know abut the 2 rear recoil lugs.

I guess I did not plan on having a "problem" with collecting Glocks. Yeah ... yeah ... "How is THAT a problem?!?"

you can file down those two rear lugs and then blue the metal and direct mount the hs407/507 with no issues. Also you will have to take off 1-2mm off the front two lugs as well. After doing so you’ll need to cut down the right side (ejection side) mounting screw or it’ll interfere with extractor spring. If you don’t want to do it yourself you can mail it in to a reputable shop and they can do it.

overall it’s easy to do and there’s a few videos on YouTube to help you out.

 

@RichochetRabbit you said 43x, that is not milled and would have to be sent out. Going to assume you meant a 43x mos, which is milled already from glock. As Tony said above it’s very easy to mod yourself for the holosun k fitment. Completely remove rear lugs and shorten the fronts a file stroke at a time and check fit. I was able to find a nut that fit the screw. Put it on, couple file strokes and test fit until it clears. The nut cleans the threads up when removed. Great cc gun I love mine.

 

Ordered a G25 .380 from that large on line seller in Kentucky. When I went to pick it up the LGS had doubled his transfer charge from $50 to $100. He won’t be seeing me again. No pics yet because it is in Colorado’s three day holding cell.

 

Yeah CSA guns here has raised there price to $75 for each gun.

Woah! I was surprised to see my LGS raise theirs from $20 to $40. That's crazy. Especially considering most if them seem to have gone electronic so records storage is streamlined.
