Yeah if NY ends up in the finals, I'll root for them only so Quickie can get his 4th ring. Especially if it's against Edmonton...but hopefully Dallas puts them to bed

Can’t root for Dallas, after Texas winning the World Series, worst case Stars win the cup and the Cowboys win the Super Bowl.

Oilers deserved it in that last game, no arguement from me there. They did well, I got to see them live at home with a 5-0 win sitting right on the glass. Good season and I'll be here rooting them in this fall. Going to pick up a new jersey to celebrate the season.

 

I was more referring to Rodney Dangerfield's 1 liners.

I'm not a big Dalles fan but anybody but Edmonton is a better option.

Yeah I'm gonna have to build a frame and get started on a 55 gallon or larger in the coming weeks.

Got two filters on the other tank so I can directly pull it to seed the new larger tank right away.

 

In an even strength format I think Dallas will own the Oilers, they have more depth than most if not all teams left standing. The wildcard of course is where penalties are concerned...Edmonton has that lethal power play between McD and Draisaitl. And as we learned, it's hard to stay out of the box against Edmonton for one reason or another. I still can't get over that call they made on us that the refs didn't make until McDavid threw up his arms at them and they were like "oh yeah, penalty against LA"....I mean how blatantly obvious can you make it lol.

eh whatever, they were the better team against us 95% of that series anyway. I just hope they put the whistles away for this conference final and let them play.

I agree the calls were bad. Especially the Kevin Fialla dive call. And you're right, that's not what cost them the series. Doesn't sound like much is going to change in LA next season. Unless Blake figures out how to package PLD with Kaliyev and one of the goalies.

 

yeah I hope they start making some moves soon. We really need a coach that can put the pieces we do have together in a better way, and a true #1 goalie. I know the PLD fiasco was a major talking point all season but I am still holding out hope that he's going to break through under the right coaching/line pairing. He never got a lot of top 2 line time this season and I think he needs to be with more competent players to play to his potential. Especially for what he's getting paid.

I dunno...everyone hates on him so much but he's proven he can be elite in the past, we need to figure out what makes him tick and get it ticking. I feel like trading him away with his bad rep in the media and massive contract would hurt us more than help.
