You don't "wander over the border" and get a UAW job. It's never been easy to getting a job at an auto manufacturing plant, there's always way more applicant's then positions and they're coveted by locals, nice attempt at a jab though.

Glad someone pointed that out before I stepped on that bunch of horseshit. I live in UAW country. You have to know someone. And lots of times their family members don't get in.

Don't forget the non-removable hitch, the faux added wheel base width, the tiny Ford Ranger sliding rear window, and the awesome massive air dam on the front if removed negates any MPG over the V6.

I have a Covid truck, it’s not terrible, it’s not great. I bought a canon camera and lens during Covid, holy shit, their quality has gone in the trash.

The main take away is that corporations realized they could provide absolute dog shit service and manufacturing quality and people would be lining up to pay far over already elevated MSRP.

Throw in this weird failing economy and inflation that’s totally *not* happening and you have cars and trucks selling for far more than you can afford with abysmal build quality.

The one I love the most is the original 4th Gen Taco teaser/promo with the American design team going "with the 4th gen Tacoma we really listened to what Taco owners have been telling us...." and the first thing they point to are the powered retractable running boards lol

    Like wtf

Toyota has NEVER asked me what I want, and I have bought a lot of SUVs and trucks from them in the past 20 years.

I was sort of excited about the GX until I saw one in person, the hybrid only land cruiser is not for me. If the 6th generation 4runner is a disappointment, I’m probably done with Toyota until they turn around. Maybe collapsing sales will get their heads out of their asses.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
Yep, I'm starting to develop some animosity towards Toyota.

There are a few models that are somewhat desirable and we are going to make sure that dealers mark up the fuck out of them so that anyone who is remotely interested is not going to buy one.

I think most business leaders have become so lazy and complacent and so are relying on inflated sticker prices to drive growth.
Just like the banks being run by simpleton apes relying solely on jacked up fees to drive growth.

This lack of foresight and innovation will ultimately be short-lived because it is simply not sustainable since the consumer has been priced out of virtually all goods and services in Q2 2024.

Eventually the market will correct itself when all these assclowns realize they have no more customers to sell their bullshit services and products to.

I work in the transportation/traffic signals industry.

Things were going downhill before, but lately, it is unbearably bad. Blows my mind what gets shipped to us, by companies that were held in high regard just a decade ago. Zero effs given.

I have a 2021 Titan Pro-4x, deep COVID there, and so far, it's been solid. However, I keep a suspicious eye on it, 100k mile warranty until mid 2026, I'll be deciding to keep it or cluck it when the warranty is up.
