Picked up my truck from JD this morning. Howe TC kit, SUA and frame brace, 2x bed boxes, Auxillary 25gal fuel tank and relocated Battery and ARB compressor to the new JD bed boxes. Work in progress but making great progress thanks to JD. All the Bling!
    HoweTC.jpgHoweTC1.jpg BedBox2.jpg BedBox5.jpg BedBox4.jpg BedBox6.jpg JDFUELTANK6.jpg JDFUELTANK5.jpg JDFUELTANK4.jpg JDFUELCAP1.jpg JDFUELTANK2.jpg JDLT.jpg
Squatting a little extra due to all the take off parts in the bed. Will probably need to adjust rear ride height auxiliary fuel tank only has about 13 gallons in it. Will be making the tough decision of getting rid of the rack and tent as well as the swingout. Bed mount the spare and back to ground tenting.

I haven't decided on it yet. I'm more concerned with the spare tire (100+lbs) on the swingout. Hitting any bumps at higher speeds it's bouncing really bad.

I carry my 2nd Spare in the Bed. Soon Ill be making a cargo cage/rack thingy of sorts that will be above the spare which will be near the dimensions for a couple of ActionPacker boxes. That will add the space lost from the spare while keeping CoG as low as possible. Maybe something to consider as an alternative to having a spare on a swing out bumper.

I’ve really been wanting the JD fuel cell deal but like my bed would be such a massive pain in the ass to remove. I wish they’d make it in such a way where it could be installed from underneath.

Yeah all that weight far out back will have a negative effect on your handling as well. You could most likely keep all the gear, but just adjust the weight location to be over the axle instead of that far behind it. I liked the utility of the swingout when I had one, but even on SOA it made the truck drive sort of like a boat. That being said, I say embrace the way of the Prelander!

Am I seeing that you have to fill fuel from inside the bed? Seems like a pain, no?

Is this tank hooked up to feed your oem tank or is it a standalone tank that replaced the oem?
I understand that the kit can be both

It feeds the stock tank. What's great is you can transfer fuel on the fly.
