Currently I'm at Children's Hospital with my 7 year old son Jacob. Has soon as he got off the school bus today I see the big ass bandaid on his knee so I ask him what happened. He said he fell playing soccer at recess today. He said his arm hurts so touch his wrist in three different places, the second spot he screamed bloody murder so I had him go inside the house while I go up the street to pick up my wife from work (regular routine). Told my wife I think his wrist is broken and we need to take him to the E.R., she took him to the E.R. in mccandless, they take x-rays and sure enough his wrist is broken on both bones, one of which is his growth plate so they wrap him up and said told my wife to take him to Children's to see the orthopedic doctor and get a cast. Here we sit. I dropped my 12 year old son at my brother's house on Troy Hill on the way. Kind of annoyed the school nurse and teacher blew it off and sent him back to class, he couldn't write or type on the laptop the rest of the day without serious pain. You'd think they'd connect the dots and think "maybe it might be broken". Oh well, we're here now.

So luckily it's not as bad as the McCandless E.R. said. No cast needed, just a brace. Still fractured but not completely broken thru both bones.

@MidnightRebel07 didn't see you post that about your son till now. Hope he heals up quick. That's a bummer right before summer starts. My friends 12yr son broke his arm 2 month ago by trying jump a fence to get a basketball his pants got hung up on the fence than fell right onto his right arm.

Good morning. Jacob is still sleeping, he didn't sleep too good last night. Kept tossing and turning to get comfortable with the brace on. I'm giving him the day off from school so he'll go with me to my knee surgery post opp visit at 9:30am. Afterwards just hang out and figure out something to do.

Woke up at 3:30am this morning and shortly thereafter a fire truck went by sirens wailing. Left the house for work and went down the road and all I could see was flames and smoke in the sky, was one of the eeriest things I've seen. Old farmhouse a couple just remodeled went up in flames this morning. Was not expecting to see that, especially 10 minutes from the house. Washington County Maryland sent several units as well it was that bad.

On top of that almost at work at the last major intersection a semi was rolled over. The full moon was definitely living up to the tales this morning o_O
