You guys down south live very exciting lives. Tornados are kinda like alligators for me... I have made successful homestead choices and avoid them. Glad everyone is safe!

I had a stretch in the past, that mostly continues today, where I will not by anything electronic or living from
WAL-MART.
They all die.

 

I can't even walk through the aquarium area at Walmart. I just end up feeling bad for those fish.

 

Fish from Wal-Mart got my entire tank sick with ick.

 

I haven't been in a Walmart in probably 15 years.

Its called Walmartophobia.
It often entails feelings of extreme anxiety when inside a Walmart. Walmartophobia may range from mild to severe. It is often elevated when alone.

 

I wish they would just leave live animals to the pet stores. Although, even some of those don't take great care of the animals, either.

I think @Pixeltim might have a touch of this as well.

I have been going to WallyWorld since in my late teens. I remember when there weren't any Walmarts in the walkie and we had to drive down to Racine or Kenosha. It was like an adventure for us at the time. It's definitely not my favorite store, and I definitely don't shop there as much as I used to. But, sometimes I just go out of convenience, or because I know something will be cheap there. I do find it quite annoying that most of the time there is only one human cashier, if any at some locations.

 

When I’ve unfortunately walked through a WalMart, I feel bad for pretty much everyone there.

 

Yeah, the only times I’ve been in one are when I’ve been taken there against my will.

 

The last time in Walmart the wife dragged me along. She was shopping for yoga pants.
Saw people in their pajamas and I thought WTF.

Why are traumatic experiences so hard to forget?

 

That was the same for us kids going to Wausau from Merrill to go to Menards or the mall.
Was a big day when we got to go to Wausau.

 

I like the Dollar General for quick things.
Mentioned to the wife about the unsavory group of people that shop there when it dawned on me.....
I shop there.

They sent everyone home from the office at lunch time. I know a couple people that were within 1-2 miles of these

also team dominator recovered their drone. Never seen something like this before. They also said it may have set the record for fastest moving (ground speed) tornado ever recorded

No cashiers doesn’t bother me. I just goto self checkout anyway.

 

I usually do, also. But, sometimes I prefer a regular cashier, like if I'm buying booze.
