I wasn't finished, @FastEddy59 you also get this goofy horse with wings sign we haven't been able to give away, or make fly.

    upload_2024-5-22_7-14-31.jpg

    And this 1957 Chevrolet..

    upload_2024-5-22_7-15-48.jpg

Yours could look like that  with enough time and money, which we won't be sending. This is the one you'll actually receive...

P.S. @StayinStock needs you to pick the car up pretty quick, his grandma is getting tired of it "sitting there cause he's too lazy to fix it up". <--- her words, not mine

I got one panel almost done yesterday, 5 more to do. Made some boards for the ends to cover the sharp wire and ripped a decking board to cover the top.

I see you have the umbrella out already. I have to set-up 2. 1 out by the garden and 1 out front for the Maligator.

We've had the umbrella for years, I got to make some bushings so it will fit the new table and not be sloppy.

Nicely done! When we moved in we needed a backyard area quickly to be able to contain the dog when she went out so we installed the metal stake/roll up wire fence that is effective but ugly. Fast forward a year and a half and this summer my to do list is to change out much of the roll fence with panels that are similar to what you have installed as deck railing, using hog wire in panels. From the internet this is a picture of my loose plan of attack.

It is a similar design as what you have done except a board on each side of the hog wire and all around the perimeter of the hog wire.

That'll be nice when you get it done, be sure and share the process with us!

The only reason I didn't put a board on the bottom is because it'll take up part of our view since our deck is so high. I'm either going to staple it to the deck with 3/4" staples or get some cable clamps like this and screw it.

I started a landscaping thread since I enjoy landscaping quite a bit. Here is a link to the thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/landscaping-thread-show-off-your-landscape.813908/

On TW there are home improvement threads, gardening threads, etc., but I did not see one dedicated to landscaping so I created one.

You should consider posting in that thread to show off what you have done. And I have to say, for a person who was "Asking for help" when you first floated the plans to build a deck, unless you have been receiving copious amounts of assistance hidden from this thread, you clearly did not need the assistance! You have done a fantastic job on the deck for someone who has never built one before! Personally, I did not doubt your ability at all.

Thank you for the kind words :hattip:

We were over at the preachers house last night for small group and after we met his wife and mine were talking about VBS and all that needs to be done, he said they will have it figured out in no time. That led to us talking on the way home and Cole said that I just build stuff as I go, I explained to him it truly is a gift and I am very thankful for it.

The deck, I didn't know what to do and figured it out as I went, it may be a tad overbuilt but it is what it is :)
