I was at WalMart buying a bag of Purina dog chow for my dog , in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog chow, RIGHT ??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up... in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in in......tensive care, with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a poodle's butt and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Better watch what you ask me and be prepared for my answer. I have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say. Now that you've read it I have to confess I stole this . Perhaps you may steal it to put a smile on someones face.

Modern Marvels was one of the best shows ever on the history channel before they entered their reality TV era. I remember sitting on the couch watching these as a kid. Throw in some Mail Call with R. Lee Ermey and I was a happy boy.

 

If my calculations are correct, and my Googlefu says they are, we now have 6.6 cubic yards of mulch spread around the yard with a few new plants and a few transplants. I smell like Biofeeeze. I need to go back to work and rest.

 

Anyone had NV Coatings sandblast and powdercoat a bumper? Any idea on cost for both of those?

It was his early breakdowns that allowed me to get it to this point! But it did always surprise me a little bit that someone who dislikes camping as much as he does would own such a thing!

 

Well, now we know. Toyota went live with the I-Force Max Tacoma's, Sport through Pro. Trailhunter and Limited all north of $60k. But the pricing for the I-Force isn't consistent across the starting prices. Sport option is $6700, Limited is $3k.

I wonder if they'll drop the Pro and Trailhunter without that engine?

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so
I sat down and had a cold beer.
The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.
My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing,
and I said, "Nothing."
The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?"
At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.
Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?
Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion:
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."
But you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case.
Time for another beer. Then maybe a nap.
