I think often people in the trades who are hired are prone to meeting the minimum required standards for construction. Of course this is driven by the consumer who always wants the lowest price, not the best work. Your construction is likely not overbuilt, but well built.

I am curious, are you getting any feeling of movement on the deck at all?

 

No movement at all, it's like walking on a sidewalk which is what I was going after.

Its all about having fun; turkey hunting just wasnt my thing so I stick to bowhunting and fishing.

My grandma is 146 years old, may wanna put a rush on that.

Some people have 'it'...you obviously do, a couple of my friends do as well (thankfully).

Some people (like myself) just lack in mechanical skills and...well....skills in general. I could probably be taught, but I'd still suck at doing stuff.
Other folks (such as yourself) can just figure things out as they go. That's confidence.

@Evostaco is the carpet still set to be delivered today? Are you installing it yourself?

 

Supposed to be delivered today. Yea I'll be installing it myself, first time so hopefully I'll get it right

Carpet just got delivered, I'll save the scraps up to mail! Stock will have to handle shipping. I'm a little tapped out from purchasing the new stuff

 

Time to say Good Bye at least till the weather gets colder.
