Only 25 of the 67 counties in Pennsylvania require emissions testing, but all vehicles not registered as antiques require a yearly safety inspection. If a vehicle fails an emissions test, it automatically fails the whole inspection, but it is possible to pass the emissions test with flying colors and fail the safety inspection; I've heard that it is technically illegal to do what has been done on this orange Scion IQ, but I see vehicles with two different stickers all the time. My truck technically failed a safety inspection last year because one of the sway bar links had rusted completely through, but it passed the emissions test. My mechanic put a new emissions sticker on it and put a safety sticker on it the next day when he replaced the sway bar link. The orange sticker is the safety sticker, and the blue one is for emissions...

 

I do not believe that the IQ ever came from the factory with a backup camera, and this one is obviously aftermarket; I also believe that this car had an aftermarket touch-screen radio that the owner kept, because it had the factory stereo...

 

I called it; I was walking back in the direction of my truck, when I thought "I'll bet that Scion failed its safety inspection because of something really stupid" and walked back to check the rear wiper. This is what I found...

Yeah, all we have is the registration. I'm not that familiar with what a title is.

 

The title is a piece of paper with your name and the car's VIN on it that proves you own the vehicle. The bank holds onto the title until the car is paid off if it's financed...

1984 Celica Supra L-Type; I've never heard of an "L-Type". Does anybody know what it is?!?!

One buddy at work bought a harrier logo for his RX300



As for the L, no idea, I only got to work on a few 2nd gen celicas. All of them were awful, but full of charm.

 

They're awful?!?! The first brand new car my dad ever bought was a 1983 Celica GT 5-speed, which he owned until 1990 and regrets selling...

 

Relatively, nearly all 80s cars werent that great. The RWD celica was slow as balls, I'm exaggerating but they didn't feel special to me.

People hyped up the 80s RWD corolla GTS but it was a slow turd as well, people tend to have fond memories of things.

I always liked the Mistubishi Starion from that era, but I'm sure its not great to drive.
