What ear plus are you using? I found that using regular shooting earplugs would hurt my ears but found some "light" earplugs that don't do that as they are a softer foam with less noise deading. Not sure if that solves the tinnitus but could be worth a try. Knocks out the high pitched loud wind/road/motor noise but doesn't leave me so "deaf" that I don't have situational awareness.

Just an option if you are like me and find yourself very distracted while riding with music sound and nothing else.

Gotcha def understand that. The medical system payments are fuuuuuuucked. Hmm I'll have to look at my progressive paperwork and see if they list ABS on my tenere as a discount.

I use ear plugs and a sena with the headphones in the helmet. Not too loud but can still hear. I tried ear buds but I can’t get the helmet on with them in and can’t put them in with the helmet on.

Not sure if any of you all follow racing. But 7 years ago today we lost Nicky Hayden.

i swear we just went over insurance like a month ago lol

$1200/year on all 3 of my bikes.

started at $1400/year with just the BMW, full coverage.

adding the YZ250 wit liability only got me a $2 refund. Adding the R3 with liability only got me a $200 refund lol. I guess they figure averaging ride time across 3 bikes, lessens the risk of damaging the BMW.

Do you/would you wear a balaclava? That's the only way I got headphones to stay in when putting on a helmet.

But I just use a Cardo nowadays.

I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*
moldex meteor line of ear plugs aren’t too uncomfortable various sizes and the small ones are light and comfy.. I work a job requiring hearing protection all 12 hours, they aren’t too bad.. I’m probably very used to earplugs I suppose though..

I used to ride B model 636 with earbuds but really you are just adding more noise to your ear, from a health standpoint this probably isn’t what a doctor would recommend.. but I get it

I run the exact same set up. Works well and I get the ear plugs for free at work.

Never. The airpod pros fit in my ears pretty snug. As long as I spread the helmet straps apart in an effort to compress the foam when putting it on, it slips right over the earbuds. Every so often, I can feel them start to slip out, but I can push them back in using the helmet.

I've thought about the cardos and senas, but I have a little bit of a helmet problem, so I regularly change it up depending on what I'm feeling that day.

The 2017 Mugello is one of my favorite helmet designs from Rossi. I have an autographed and authenticated one coming soon. The soccer player is Francesco Totti.

I've never used airpods so can't speak to those. I just buy cheapo earbuds off Amazon that are likely not at slim/streamlined lol. I like the balaclava though for other reasons...namely keeping my helmet clean for longer.

Get some additional helmet kits! The new cardos are pretty simple to move back and forth between helmets. But the kits aren't exactly cheap. Can't speak to Sena, never owned.

I'm the opposite with helmets...I have 3, only one gets regular street use. Pista I delegate to the track, and I have a Bell Race Star that i've been meaning to start breaking in....but my AGV K5S is just already so comfortable and easy to put on/wear lol. Everyone keeps ragging on me for not upgrading my AGV K5S since it's almost 3 years old now and looks even older. But if it ain't broke...

    RIP

I got the pleasure to see his ACTUAL Ducati moto GP bike back in the day up close in person (like touch it) absolute bonkers works of art those things are. One of only two duc moto GP bikes ever sold to the public (his and Rossi's) sold at the same time to two close individuals local to me and they went through the local moto shop who has significant connections in that motogp realm.

I know I sat on one of them (not sure which), and got the absolute orgasmic pleasure to hear one of them fire up. A literal mechanical symphony.

Yes I do. I have one for cold and for hot. Maybe it’s the ear buds I have that they just stick out too far.

That was the most exciting motogp season ever when Nicky won. Rossi is my second favorite. Hasn’t been the same since at least for me.

I’ve never had a company include a photo of your shipment when they send the tracking number. Pretty cool.

They also asked if I had any recent safety training. Something like the last 3 years, so that might be another discount if you have.

Removed the less than ideal supermoto fender supplied with the fender kit and installed a real fender. First ride I took down a muddy road I had a nice stripe of mud up the front of the bike so hopefully this one works better.

I saw this on Reddit the other day, I think. It's a sampler pack where you can try something like 31 different ear plugs for $20. Might be worth it to find what you like and what fits your ears.
